I have followed 71st for over 45 years but only recently here on this board have I ever been hearing them called The birds or dirty birds. Where did this come from?

Last few years...same as the field called the bird's nest

Knew it was gonna be a tough game. Salute to southern durham. Qb and running back did as expected from southern durham 71st o and d line got beat all night. Davis played solid game. Couple of passes were low. Didn't expect to play the refs. I nelieve they each carried 3 flags. Guess thats what you call home cooking. Bottom line is the Birds didn't execute and took a tough loss. Suck it up and get ready for conference.
