Nationwide ban on pocket knives!!!

Seriously, I hate to read about stuff like this, but the guy who was stabbed started it according to your link (punched the 49ers fan in the face).

Don't start **** if you can't handle the potential outcome...

I would never, ever, ever go to a professional football game at SF or Oakland. Both stadiums have real gang problems. It's an issue in California in general, because gangs pick up teams with similar colors.

There was a special on HBO a while back on it, and it was intense. That Giant's fan that was paralyzed was beaten by some gang members at Dodgers stadium.

Exactly. There were only a handful of them in Atl, and one carried a knife in and stabbed a guy in the parking lot. Can you imagine what would be in the crowd with 70K of them standing around?

The article makes it seem like he stabbed him in self defense.

But I get what you are saying. I wouldn't go to most away venues without a knife. Some I might not would go to even with a knife.

I've heard more horror stories about San Fran than any other town, even Philly. I talked to a lot of Saints fans who were horrified last year, and my in laws went to a Cards/Giants LCS game (they're STL fans) and were treated terribly.
