Tech taking a free throw with the chance to take a 1 pt. lead. 31 seconds remain on the game clock. The shot clock reset to 30 due to the made shot which tied the game in OT at 74 immediately before.

Tech misses and gets the rebound. The shot clock is 1 second ahead of the game clock.

But wait! When the shot clock reaches 28 seconds it drops all the way down to 20 seconds! WTF? Why would the shot clock do this? Yes, this would be a perfect set-up AGAINST Kentucky if (A) Tech had hit the free throw or (B) if Kentucky had got the rebound, GREATLY ensuring the possibility of 1 last Tech possession with approx 9-10 seconds to go.

But since, unexpectedly, Tech got the rebound, it is now the Red Raiders who are getting screwed out of a full shot clock.

The floor refs review . . . but even THEY do not catch the game clock official's attempt to screw UK, and now pass on the screwing to Tech instead. LMAO!!

Play resumes. Tech's ball. 25.4 on the game clock. 18 on the shot. Tech attempts an off-balanced shot in the paint with 5 seconds in the game clock, falling to the floor with no contact made (lol, flopper).

Nick shoots 2 free throws and that's the winning score. Tech still had 10 seconds for a final possession. But the disappearing 8 seconds tells you everything you need to know, and is probably the real reason for why Robic or anyone from the Kentucky staff was happy to give a tough official in Texas a proper dressing-down.

Well ****, I was about to go to sleep and now I have to go downstairs, get an Elijah Craig, turn on the TV and rewind the DVR to see this debacle.

Bravo! i'm going to use this an excuse to have another drink myself. First though, I'm going to say that I understand the rules of college basketball and clarify that I'm totally taking advantage of the situation.

The refs reviewed it and still screwed it up.

Shot clock started at 30 when ttu rebounded..2 secs ticked off.. and then reset to 20. Should have taken 2 seconds off the shot clock after review. Instead they leave as is.

Just atrocious refereeing.

This. Should have been 16 seconds on the shot clock after the review.

anything to give TTU more time on a critical possession though.
