My mind is blown how bad we've become. The nancys on this board will be happy with a win, but that was putrid.

-This is a sloppy, poorly coached team. Look at the penalties... look at the stupid penalties. How many times can we line up in the neutral zone? One of those was downright embarrassing when the player lined up 2 yards offside.

- We cannot throw downfield. Laviano cannot throw downfield. Last week everyone said we didnt throw deep because we didn't have time. Well today we played a terrible Kansas team, Laviano had plenty of time on multiple occasions-- He is not the QB of the future, SO PLEASE STOP EFFIN PLAYING HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

27-14...we should have scored 50. We under perform, week in and week out. Something has to change fast.

Kansas lost so many starters to injuries and transfers. This is their worst team in history, which is saying something. The fact that we only won by 13 is rather embarrassing people.

If we can only beat a team the likes of this year's Jayhawks by 13, Lord only knows what the games against MSU and tOSU will be like.

Also, it'll be interesting to see what the betting lines will be for those two. RU will clearly be major, MAJOR dogs, but right now, I don't even want to think about by how much.

Michigan just blew out byu. That's another ugly game coming down the pike for us. We don't have the 12th man, brady hoke, to count on anymore.

We were playing not to lose, to keep our D off the field....
Stupid play on our part kept them in it.
Flood and coaches are amateurs.
The 10 yard and under throws will kill us...those are better suited in a spread offense where your play makers can have space to do something....
We've even abandoned the bootleg....
I can't figure who we are and we've become

This " Nancy" will be happy with the win for now and air my complaints later.
No need to tear down the win just yet, we have 2 weeks to prove out unlimited football knowledge before we
find a reason to dislike the next game ( hopefully a win like today)

Sometimes it's best just to try and enjoy the moment. even if that moment isn't as spectacular as wanted.

QB goes 18 - 25 with one bad int and all of you are calling for his head.

Did you see the 50yd ball on the run at the end of the half. If his arm was as weak as you want it to be then he could not throw if 50yd from a full windup never mind on the run.

Look at the player objectively and with your biased vision.

I have been looking at it objectively. I saw every one of his throws today. I also get there early enough to watch the qb's warm up. Needless to say his arm is lacking compared to the rest of the qb's. He has to put max effort to move the ball down field and it still does not arrive with the pace of the other qb's. Dare has a monster arm by the way. But lets talk about that end of half int. Absolutely abysmal throw. The ball never turned over. As my qb coach would say in high school the surest sign of a poorly thrown ball is when it doesn't turn over. It sis also not about his arm strength but more about his decision making. He never looks beyond the under neath route. Multiple times today he had three open receivers on all three levels and never pushed it down field. It is easy to be 18-25 when you never throw it further than 10 yards down field

^ we have a winner. Outside of the Hail Mary, not one pass past 10 yards.

At this point it wouldn't surprise me if the line was "NL".

That's your positives?
That throw was HS strength...he locks on guys and can't see beyond primary target...he
is just not very good...and that's as objective as I can be..add in he seems to not want to throw
beyond 10 yards and we are where we are...Kansas is plain brutal and if they made that 4th
down attempt it was gonna get dicey as hell...totally embarassing

What will piss me off is if we don't find out how good the other guys are and soon...this is a road
to nowhere...may as well see who can do better

Oh and I hate to say it but if he doesn't learn how to slide he's gonna get hurt and soon....

We are in for some major *** kickings this year, they might even top last season, lol. I laugh because the alternative is to cry, thank you Kyle Flood.

I think you aren't Looking objectively.... He has a great completion percentage but look at why that is. We are constantly playing short, this kills us against a good d that can blow our running game up.

Against Michigan State, Ohio State and with Laviano, Rutgers will be like the Washington Generals playing the Harlem Globetrotters--the sacrificial lamb with no chance to win. With Rettig we will still almost certainly lose but there are likely to be some entertaining moments for the home team audience and at least hope for a better next year.

And if you think a loss is a loss, I disagree. A poor team with no entertainment value will drive away many marginal fans who give up in disgust.

The Washington Generals were a barnstorming pasty team with no hometown audience. A few more years of Flood and that is what RU may become.

First Rutgers WIN that I ever turned the game off for no reason... I took my daughter to a stupid cartoon movie midway 3rd quarter instead. Nearly 40 year fan I can't even believe it myself I shut it off.

I'm a huge fan myself and I was there and it was THAT boring. 75% or more run plays. The other 25% are very very short conservative passes. Grant is the only exciting thing going.

Cuse lost to LSU by 10 (24-34) with a fifth string QB. With a solid QB they beat LSU today. Both teams were evenly matched minus the QB situation. We beat a crippled Kansas team by 13, but we're also crippled in many ways. So beating Kansas by thirteen is appropriate because we were evenly matched. This grandiose idea that we should have beaten Kansas by 50 is borderline insane.

I believe somebody posted that Kansas is playing with only 64 scholarship players. -Evenly matched?? Somehow I doubt that.

This. If we are evenly matched than RU is not winning another game this year. Might be one game where we keep it within 10 points (Army).
Kansas has lost 35 consecutive Road games. Was not won on the road since 2009.
Sweating bullets in the stands that we would not break their streak.

Actually RU could have easily scored 50 pts on this team even with the run run dink dunk pass playcalling. Hicks fumble stopped the flow of game from going in that direction.

No way in heck are Cuse and LSU evenly matched in anyway. LSU back Fournette can score without blocks.
