I just checked and it is still operating in the Bowling Green area.

Charlie at Dish had better quit playing these damned games or he is going to end up with no customers.

If you're within 30-40 miles of the broadcast tower, just hook up a $20 antenna to your TV and grab 44 off the air.

I have Directv, but use the antenna when satellite is down, like heavy rain. Even gets HD.

Lost NBC on Direct TV.... A court decision recently granted local stations the permission to charge for services that use to be free.... Greedy MOFOs everywhere....everywhere....

Yes, it's making me furious. We live in Slaughters and cannot get 44 with an antenna :( so it looks like no game for us!

TV providers and channels have used NFL playoffs as time to play chicken before to really upset the customers. Maybe it gets resolved Friday. Google Spam's Wildcat page to see a listing of online streams if just can't get it on tv.

Yes this is a money grab from wevv 44 and 45. They are the providers for CBS and Fox in the Evansville market. They are trying to charge more money from dish to allow them to use their stations.

My parents live in madisonville and can't get 44 on dish. I think that they are changing to directv

nothing to do with this thread but Catinjax do you notice there seem to be alot of UK fans here in Jax? I literally have 3 houses with UK flags in my own street ( well my culd de sac and the one behind me) and that always surprises me . When i go to bars to watch games there are always tons of UK fans as well. One good thing about this city...

Worst case scenario. Turn off you're phone, tv, etc. and wait till about 4pm or so. Next go to billionthuk (one of the posters here) website and watch the stream. If you don't know the score it will be all new to you man. I do this with nfl games sometimes.

That is horrible, but it may well be a trend. At the moment I have Dish and DirecTV. I use DirecTV as my primary provider but they do not have the Bowling Green stations. So I have Dish for the locals. I got that 19.99 per month deal and Dish really stuck me because that basically are the only HD stations I get and the $19.99 a month is over $50.00.

Last year I got a module with DirecTV that puts your locals on DirecTV from terrestrial antennas. I have a little antenna in my back yard ten feet high and it works great for the Bowling Green stations; however, CBS in Bowling Green only transmits standard definition. So yesterday I ordered an Omni-directional antenna that is supposed to be good for 125 miles. I am going to mount it on the top of the house (about 40' above the ground) and hopefully I can get the CBS HD signals from Louisville (100 miles away) and Nashville (80 miles away) . If that works I am dropping Dish.

It should not be this hard but the greedy do it to us all. We all should complain to our congressmen to demand concessions from the major networks because the US government gives them their license without cost. They should be forced to give us their content free of charge.

CSX transferred a LOT of people from KY to Jax in the late 80s and early 90s….. I bet it is them and their offspring that account for quite a few of those UK fans. I have about seven or so close friends in the Jax- Orange Park- Middleburg area as a result….. all of which are UK fans except the one UT guy….and he was broken before he left Kentucky lol.
