No, I'm not talking about TSUN's nationwide branding attempts.

Rather, as an alumnus of Moo U, I feel compelled to watch someone ride a tortured farm animal at the Dixie National Rodeo. So I looked here....

and I still can't see where and when anyone like myself could go see such a thing. Anybody know?

This has the schedules for all the live stock shows going on at the fairgrounds. don't know know about a list of actual list of the competitors in the actual rodeo at night. most rodeos are exactly the same though. same events each night.

So it looks like each rodeo is paired with a concert (kind of like our spring football game). Have to pay more than you want to watch the sport and the concert comes with it....I think. Still not obvious from their info online.

Although I don't know how they'd have a concert in the same place their having a rodeo. Dirt floor?

and then you feel like you have been cheated.

Sorry, not a fan of the rodeo, it was a big disappointment for my family when we went. I am just not a big fan. I remember it being fun when I was little but neither of my kids had a good time last year and you could hardly even tell what song the band was playing because it sounded so bad.

That building is just a dung hole. Even for the Dixie National. Its good for a rodeo, but nothing else.

Not having a modern arena around Jackson is right up there with not having craft beer. Of course if we had an arena, they'd still try putting the damn rodeo, animals& all, inside it.

the concert and rodeo is tied together. They usually do the concert part about midway through. about three or four songs.Concert partusually sucks with the acoustics in that place. I usually just go to watch the events. Grew up on a farm so the roping and riding are fun to watch for me. Ever so often you might have a few good bands play. </p>

I go once every 3-4 years. It's a great time. I take the wife and kids and we all have fun. We generally try to go look at livestock beforehand, because it's a great opportunity to educate my suburbanite children on something other than a dog or cat. We definitely aren't going for the concert. The competition is great, the rodeo clowns are usually pretty funny, and the atmosphere is fine (the building sucks though). I've really enjoyed it every time I've attended.
