Do you think McKnight would have put up more than half of Dixon's numbers this year if he played for us in the SEC? The Pac 10 is not exactly known as a bunch of run stoppers.

care less where he gets drafted. He was the best back in the SEC this year and that's all that matters to me.

why being right on a fcking message board is so important to you. Important to the point that you want one of our players to do poorly, want our teams to lose etc... Say that I'm wrong all you want, your posting history says otherwise.

Joe McKnight declares for draft = fact
Dixon possibly drops another spot = C34 opinion

You're just trying to get a rise out of people and another retarded 8 page thread with multiple tangents.

just because I say Dixon wont be a high draft pick, then many on here jump on me saying he will, and now he is being listed lower and lower, means that I was right in the first place- not that I want him to fail. None of on here have any control as to what happens- we just watch it unfold after taking a position on the subject.

Dont act like I wouldnt be called out repeatedly if Dixon were to go mid-2nd round...so dont be surprised when I point out he may be a late 3rd-4th round pick at best

I thought he was the best running back on our team. Dixon could possibly drop another spot. He is screwed.

Fact - you said Dixon was a very average back

The fact that he will be drafted at all has proven you wrong already. So now you're scrambling madly in an attempt to make us believe that you always said he would be a 3rd or 4th round pick so you can say you were right.

Fact - Most of us always said he would be a 3rd to 5th round guy and could go as high as 2nd round if he ran a good time at the combine. Welcome to the bandwagon 17tard.

Personally, I wouldn't run if i were him.

Wait...are you still trying to say that Dixon is an average SEC back?

Why even start this topic? Ok, McKnight declared for the draft...even if it does mean that Dixon falls another spot, so? Why bring it up unless you just like pointing out when State players get knocked down a peg? Personally, I don't think McKnight changes Dixon's stock at all. Dixon > McKnight all day in the NFL.

About Coach looking like a douche for saying AD is dropping, Stans is a terrible coach, etc. But I don't think its him wishing bad upon MSU as it is just him playing devil's advocate. More than half the time it is a pretty logical opinion with facts to back it up, even if its not a popular opinion.

First, don't try to tell me you just wanted discussion. You wanted for people to respond so you could try to prove your already stated opinion that Dixon isn't that great. It's fine that you have that opinion, but why you feel the need to post it on a Mississippi State message board after his career is over is beyond me.

And I guess I should have worded my post differently. It may or may not hinder his stock; if I were evaluating talent for the draft, it wouldn't. But you seem to be using this as some type of ammunition in your argument that people don't think Dixon will be a great NFL back by saying that McKnight is now yet another back listed ahead of him. That, I totally disagree with, and I think he will be better in the NFL than McKnight. See Reggie Bush.

It's not really hard to understand at all. The guy has pretty much written his autobiography here on a sports message board. Think about that and then look at my sig. Its pretty clear that this place is a big part of his every day life. It's almost like this is the only place anybody pays any attention to him. Its almost like this is all he has. When you put it into that context, you almost feel sorry for the poor bastard.

I have often suffered from the "Want to be right by any means necessary" disease myself. I am hopefully in remission.

to say dixon would fall is stupid. the fact is mcknight said the reason he was declaring was he thought that the 09 season would be his best year, because he was scared of getting hurt next year. plus he said it was tough living in the swadows of reggie bush. tell me what does that say to nfl scouts. dixon will be ok with a great senior bowl, a decent combine(depending on 40 time) and bottom line great interviews with organizations... i still think he will be a 2nd round pick either way it goes.

you stated that Dixon was an avg back. I feel that the top RB in the SEC is anything but avg. You also stated that Scott is better. That, aGAIN, was not the case this year. Now if you want to change the argument to "avg backs get drafted in the NFL," I will agree with you.
