Been doing a little reading on this and it is amazing the stuff that happens
in these single parent families. I can't imagine the dialogue going back and forth, I'm sure it can be pretty funny at times as these type things get worked out by the families. I'm not really sure where the kid wanted to go but in the end he should be allowed to go where he wanted to go.

Where did it originate that his mom was paid other than State fans claiming it on nearly every single Ayer that ever signs with freeze? The article on 247Sports pretty much clears things up with quotes from the mom. She AND the kid signed the LOI in the morning and sent it in. He lives with his mom. He signed one in the afternoon with his Dad to Utah. She said pretty plainly that she wanted him at ole miss because she has met a bunch of the staff and liked them, while never talking to a single staff member at Utah. If anything, it looks like Utah would be the ones who paid off his dad and a coach at his HS since they went behind the people the kid lives with and got the dad to sign to Utah.

I don't have much sympathy when you get burned trying to make a deal. Part of getting wrapped up in that game.

It's beyond coincidence that this has only happened to the Bears and it's happened 2 times in the last 4 years.

Not only did Shepard visit back in thr fall. He named us his leader for months. Most crystal balls were predicting him to us until after xmas when we had moved on because we didn't think he was going to qualify (honestly most of us don't expect him to qualify now).
I guess I missed the joke in the middle of threads being serious about it. Not necessarily this thread. I don't care what y'all say or believe about it, I just was curious to the rationale.

I think a large part of the dialogue here is tongue in cheek, at least I know it is from me and you could benefit from lightening up a little, just my opinion and I'm not hatin on ya.

It's simple. We (and everyone outside of Ole Miss) believe and know that you cheat. For some reason, you folks just believe that Oxford and the Grove really, truly are just the greatest things ever (although people constantly visit Ole Miss and the popultion remains a small Mississippi town... not the 'Mecca of the South'). You really believe that recruits want to go to Ole Miss over Florida, Notre Dame, UGA, Miami, Alabama, etc (or because his baby mama's 3rd cousin's brother once when to Oxford and he told the recruit one day "I want a drink", which led the recruit to believe God was speaking to him and wanted him to go to Oxford and have a hotty toddy) because your coach 'cares and plays for love'...
We find you to be just the most adorable little things when you race over here to say "If we are cheating, prove it"... Its just precious... It really is. And we, MSU fans and alums on an MSU fan and alum message board get so tired of trying to speak logically to you illogical people... Its that simple. Sent in the Black Bear fax, got the Black Bear $$ wired to them once Bears had his name on the dotted line and then later signed where he wanted to play knowing that the Bears won't say anything and will release him because he has proof of the wired $$. Shhhhh, black helicopters circling.......
Rabiddawg…. It is well documented that Tee Shepard visited Ole Miss unofficially for one of their ballgame weekends and stayed the entire weekend. That is where he always wanted to go, but they dropped him a couple of months ago thinking he couldn't get eligible. We got fifteen hours of on-line intersession courses approved for him and took them last month. The Bears got wind that he is now on track to get eligible (thanks to us) and we lost the crown jewel of our recruiting class.

Peeper…..If that really makes ya feel better to think the Bears are paying all their recruits, then have at it! This kid was lightly recruited (Utah was his only other real offer). One of Ole Miss's lowest rated recruits. Not expected to qualify. Really makes sense that they would unload the bank for this kid!

No, he's simply saying, it doesn't make any sense to pay a last minute offer, who may or may not qualify, any money. Upfront or otherwise. Try using common sense.
I think any rational person knows that every SEC school cheats. Some more than others. The difference is not everyone is as bad at it as MSU.
I don't mind people saying we cheat some. I fail to understand the mindset behind those who believe that A) we do it with every player and B) it's the sole reason athletes come to Ole Miss. And spare me the "it's a joke" line, because you know there are plenty who actually believe it, although most have moved to ED. I do realize many don't.

Its just that y'all jump on EVERY thread about EVERY possible instance of cheating as though its some crime against humanity to think that TSUN cheats. We feel that you cheat on most recruits. Sure, there are some that truly want to go to Oxford. We don't believe that Treadwell came because his friend went there and then they fell out of love... We don't believe that CJ Johnson just had a change of heart after being called a 'boy' a month earlier by ole miss fans.... We don't believe that Shepard was always a rebel at heart who was just waiting for his chance to be a part of the Oxford experience. This is where we laugh at you. Its battles like this that you fight that make you seem desperate and sad... and easy to pick at...

The truth is Mullen was totally against
Cheating as a dumbasss Rookie coach whereas Frezzus has been all in day one. Thankfully Mullen has come around and we are starting to level the field. In regards to CJ Johnson that was totally our fault, Mullen was a dumbass and CJ did what was right for him. Totally respect his decision.

I think it's pretty obvious. Law thought Ole Miss was a junior college. He was just covering his bases if he didn't qualify for Utah.
