And before you start saying this is a flame, I think our programs are directly linked to each other in terms of success. We need them to stay down while we have an aggressive program to really create separation. The game the other night was huge, but the job isn't done, not by a large margin.
Let's cut the crap, Houston Nutt will be there next year. Nix may or may not be, but that is what it is. I look at players.
The bad: They are losing most of their playmakers. Lockett is coming back, as is Shackleford, Bolden, Logan, Jeff Scott and Grandy. I guess the suspended WR comes back too. No QB whatsoever, Brunetti or not. Seems like some of the Florida players won't be there much longer. Alot of the meat of the two good recruiting classes are gone. I don't think the schedule can get any easier than it was this year. Fan support is not great right now either....I know, I was there Saturday.
The good: I think the O-line gets better, and that's one of the most important things, but even still, their line wasn't very good and Masoli masked that problem a bit. Also, all Orgeron's players are out but I don't know that that is a good thing.
Either way, the path is there for us to really clean up with this 2011 recruiting class and there's no reason why we shouldn't clean up the 2012 one. We theoretically should be a bowl team next year and win the Egg Bowl at home. This run of success coupled with them being down could be one of our most successful ever.
