Do we have a single playmaker on this team?

I should probably just be happy with beating Georgia and the fact that we've now gone toe to toe with 2 of 3 typically elite SEC programs, but I can't help but think that we don't seem to have any real playmakers on any side of the ball. Our QBs have severe problems hitting wide open receivers, our receivers constantly drop balls, none of our running backs seem to be much of a breakaway threat, our D line can't seem to pressure a QB to save its life, and our LBs/secondary can't pick a ball off when it hits them right in the hands. In spite of all this, we seem to be a decent football team, but damn... I keep waiting for a couple guys to step up and resemble all-SEC players, but I just don't see it from anyone.

if he could throw a little bit better, he would be an even better playmaker, and that would help all of our other playmakers.

Just be happy. We made plays last night. Got some gifts, but who cares. Teams that are good get breaks, and last night we actually looked good. We beat a Georgia team that has played a tough schedule so far, and their record doesn't show that they are a decent team. They will be 6-6 or 7-5 at the end of the year. This will look like a much better win later when they beat Georgia Tech and finish with 7 wins, which I think they will do.

Bumphis, Cox, Broomfield, Clark. Russell will be in time. Starting to believe that Berry is just an average SEC receiver, made to look good by the shadows of the croom error.

you have to give these guys time and the benefit of the doubt

We have a lot of players that show flashes of brilliance, but the common denominator for most of them is that they're all very young. When I compared our starting 22 to Auburn's first string a couple weeks ago, I think we had 9 underclassmen to their 2. I would be willing to bet that we have more underclassmen than any other SEC team that are significant contributors throughout the game.

Relf is a decent playmaker. He's a good runner and typically always falls forward. That's not bad. And last night, he actually scrambled for some first downs on plays that weren't designed runs. My assumption is that the coaches set up some pass plays where his second read was "can I run to the sticks." It was good to see. As bad as some of the plays have been, I think Relf's decision making is actually pretty decent considering he's had less than two years with somebody teaching him how to be a qb.

Bump - has the tools, just too young or not the right mentality. Hopefully too young.

On D, it appears we haveseveral good tovery good players that are not quite game changers (Wright, Mitchell,Pern)

Arceto Clarkmade a play last night, so maybe he will turn into something.

Sans the Auburn drop, I would say Berry is an average receiver and good but not great returner.

I think when Mullen or Diaz has an honest to god playmaker, it will really open things up for them. Diaz is certainly surpassing my expectations so far.

I forgot what type of injury he has, but he is definitely a playmaker after last year's LSU performance.
