Do we miss Cal yet?

Yeah I don’t get it. They’re 11-3 and look to be a few levels below the real contenders like Michigan, Zona, Uconn.

I just find myself wishing we had Tommy Lloyd, Dan Hurley or Dusty May right now. Cal’s time as a threat nationally was over after 2017. That was Cal’s last truly dominant team imo.
Tommy Lloyd would be a dream. He’s been consistently good at Arizona and eventually he’s gonna break through for a deep tournament run. He only has one double digit loss team at AZ which was last year, and he plays a fun style. From the Mark Few tree and will get after you

I don’t know if he’d leave Tucson, but I’d meet him at the airport.

Cal 2009: "If you can't play, don't come here, I can't hide you if you're not good enough"

Cal 2020: "I'm not going to bench the kid and hurt his confidence, that's someone's son"

Those two quotes came from the same guy, but we have dudes that don't believe he changed.

Do we miss the guy that won 1 tournament game in his last 5 seasons because Mark Pope has only won 2 tournament games in 1--maybe 2 seasons?

For all of his failures this year, Pope hasn't lost to St. Peter's, Oakland, UNC Wilmingon, or Evansville.

I'm not sure Pope can win at Kentucky. But I know John Calipari wasn't doing it anymore.

Moving on from Calipari was correct.
Hiring Pope was incorrect. But it doesn't make the Calipari separation any less correct.

Just another Mitch Barnhardt failure.
