You're dead on. Just got back from taking the fam. That was a welcomed break from the utter crap Pixar has put out lately.

To make it sports related, most of the human characters in the movie were modeled after the physique of former MSU pitcher Adam Larson.

And that alone made this thread worth reading. The movie looks like crap.

I loved Ratatouille. I just watched the Incredibles a couple weeks ago and it was great. Toy Story has been received the best by critics mainly because it was first, but The Incredibles is second to that. It was included on AFI's 400 movie ballot for the top 100 films (Toy Story made the list).

I don't know how anybody that has ever liked a car can not love Cars.

Sorry to keep beating this thread, but that movie absolutely sucked. Having to listen to Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy was bad enough, but the whole presentation was weak. I felt as if I was watching a NASCAR version of Yogi Bear.

Cars and Ratatouille both were bad as far as I'm concerned. The Incredibles was really, really good, as were the previous movies.</p>

Bottomline is that that Wall-E was pretty darn good. I really didn't want to see it (the kids did), but it greatly surpassed my rather low expectations and was entertaining (even with all the California-generated environmental jabs).

Owen Wilson and Cable guy aside, Cars had more memorable characters than any other Pixar movie I've seen.

I thought it was wonderful.
