Does anyone actually believe Ole Miss had 25,000 at their spring game?

Just looked at the Chris Low-ESPN SEC spring game attendance numbers. Ole Miss claims 25,000 in attendance at the game. I watched parts of the replay of their game and I would say their attendence looked more like 4-5,000 in their stadium. I'm assuming they count folks in the grove and the square.

maybe 10-12,000...."and that's being optimistic" he said. And he's a bear fan. The way I look at attendance is, there should be people that are required to take actual attendance numbers or else it should say NA for not available in the stats. Allowing Ole Miss to just report whatever the hell they want for attendance hurts us whether anybody wants to admit it or not. So, there either needs to be REAL attendance numbers recorded or we need to join them in inflating our numbers. Call it me bitching if you want to, but I'm tired of OM getting to openly mislead people and misrepresent numbers for the benefit of their athletics. If there's no accountability then why aren't we doing the same thing or trying to get something done about it? Either way we need to grow some balls and either join them in the inflation, or do something to try and stop it. Just sitting here watching them constantly inflate that **** just makes it okay...and they would have the mother17ing PI's at our games doing official head counts if we were doing that **** to the extent that they do. Just sayin

Okay, rant over. Wool being sheared as we speak.

"several" or "every" number being inaccurate/inflated. I mean, I know it can't be exact, but sometimes you can look at one of their baseball crowds and easily tell there's 4-5,000...only to read in the paper the next day that 9,500 were on hand. I'm definitely not saying it has to be exact, just somewhat reasonable

Look, I'll admit that I thought it was pretty cool when Bama had like 90,000 at their spring game, but sense then it has just gotten ridiculous and out of whack. It has become a dick swinging contest that is completely and utterly meaningless. Now ESPN has gotten into the hype by reporting and rereporting attendence figures that are illegitimate to begin with. In reality we were no better than Ole Miss when we reported an attendance that matched the final score of the Egg bowl. I could keep ranting for reasons as to why coverage of spring game attendance figures is stupid, but that would be stupid and a waste of time in much the same way that the coverage of these statistics are.

Do we not have anything better to talk or swing our dicks about. Please College Football Journalists, stop this stupid story.

In all honesty, if your fan base shows up 90,000 strong for a glorified practice....you should be made fun of, not praised. The first 20 minutes is decent, but after that it's about as exciting as our hitting on an SEC baseball weekend this year.

But I really just don't give a **** about what's going on in Oxford. If their players are acting like fools and embarrassing the school then sure I'll laugh about it. I just don't have it in me to care about something as insignificant as inflated spring game attendance numbers.

I all seriousness, next year just to make a point to the ESPN Spring game attendence hype machine, we should release an attendence of 65,000. This is obviously bigger than our stadium allows and would force ESPN to either report it or not report any of the other made up numbers. Hey, I can make my dick as big as I want.

Die hard fans who have no hope of actually getting season tix to see the team they root for play. I think its a positive thing that they can draw that kinda crowd to a "glorified practice".

You also should be made fun of for getting worked up enough to type out a long diatribe on a message board as if it's a matter of national security.

you are spending too much on meth.

Seriously, there's 100,000 seat in that joint and every weekend is not LSU or Florida. And if you say who wants to see Bama destroy Georgia State, I'd say I'd rather see that than practice. We talking bout practice. Not a game. Not a game. Practice.
