Does anyone get the feeling that Croom is about to pull one out of his ***

and make us all look stupid? The last time I felt this way about an MSU game under Croom was Kentucky last year. I lost a lot of money on that game. Everything points to a complete slaughter...but somehow I feel like a Croom Rabbit is going to jump out of Byrne's hat.

...but you really hope it doesn't, right? I understand you're pulling for Auburn in this one.

I have been thinking it all day. Of course, as disappointed as I was that we lost to La. Tech, I don't think we are as bad of a team as some make us out to be. I guess consider me woolly.

But, at the end of the year I hope he rebounds us the best Offensive Coordinator that we could possibly find.

If we win (i.e. beat Auburn 2 years in a row)...then everything I said was wrong. Croom really is the man for the job and the La Tech game was just a fluke. BCS game here we come!

I don't think you're going to (at least not this weekend), but I hope you do.

is going to absolutely brutalize Chris Todd and Kodi Burns. It will not be pretty.

Still, AU's defense should keep them in the game through most of it.

I have a feeling that we are getting it together on offense. Call me crazy. I think they will win the game for us. And yes this is baseless optimism in it's purest form. By any sane form of logic we should get kicked to sleep considering we lost to LaTech.

of the Ralphie statue right before the WVU-Colorado game next Thursday night. By "getting it together" I mean 3 offensive TD's. I don't care if we get the ball on the 5 yd line everytime. If we can get into the endzone 3 times against Auburn, it will be a huge improvement.

but the idea that we lose this game because we played poorly at LTU is not credible. We're going to line it up and see what happens. I'll definitely be pulling for us to win. I know you will be, too.

He told me before the La Tech game that our offense would pass a good bit but not really show the offense we have been putting in adding in. He stated that most of the first two games would be our base offense (straight hand-offs to Dixon/Ducre, sweeps, reverses, the draw, etc.). He said that they didn't want to give Auburn much to look at on film. He said that they had installed a lot more open sets and some spread but the pace of the Auburn game would dictate what they try.

I know some on here don't think we have anything to add but I am thinking that maybe more sets, sort of like the UK game from last year, will be unveiled against Auburn. One can only hope the player was correct.

was integral part of the bizzare trip that was our 07 football season. Kentucky had played South Carolina(L38-23)LSU(w43-37) and Florida(L45-37) on the three consecutive weekends before they played us. They were absolutely physically beat up , emotionally spent and RIPE for an upset. We could not have played them at a better time and we took advantage of it. Auburn appears to be ready to be fresh and ready to roll , big difference.

Now he may be playing possum, but it's Croom. We ran some interesting running sets against SELA. They didn't seem to work that well though.

and of course croom has to tell the truth to any question asked by the reporter. I mean he should be honest with them and Auburn shouldn't he?

....is about to make us look silly. So is Ga. Tech and LSU after that. Looks like all of them may be on TV too. Hey commitments, don't watch!

I'll be happy to take my punishment if I'm wrong. You can all line up and flog me if you want. I'm a man, I'm (not)40.

I guess I had better burn my tickets, and commit suicide.
Hope you're wrong, at least a little.
Baaa Baaa. It's early in the season to just throw in the towel.
Despite our early showing, I think and hope that we are just a little better than we have shown.

but I don't think we will have a chance against the Auburn spread with pretty much zero at middle linebacker. Maybe down the road after we figure that position out but not this week.

Well, I've had a poor opinion of this season prior to its beginning. The La. Tech game only confirmed my beliefs. The SE La. outcome is just neutral territory because a game like that can't tell us anythiung about our team(unless we had lost it).

My attitude would certainly change if we can come out with a 3-2 record after the next three games. 2-3 would put me on the fence. 1-4 is what I expect.</p>

the weekend before they played us. The day they played us they still had their heads completely up their asses but hey it`s why the games are played. We`ll see. Just don`t hold your breath for the amount of good fortune we had in 07 to ever happen to dear ole MSU again in one season.
