I know it was a catchy tune. I was hoping to hear it again. I thought I had it on an audio tape but I have not found it yet. Does anyone have it. If so I and I am sure others would love to hear it again.

I think he sung it to Simon and Garfunkel's 59th Street Bridge (Feelin' Groovy) song. They would play it on WCTC in the mornings.
What's a Quincy Douby song? I watched games during his time here and I have idea what this refers to.
A fan recorded something on his own set to the Simon and Garfunkel song I mentioned above. The guy would call into Jack Ellery on WCTC and they would play the song when Quincy was lighting it up during his last year. Such a fun player to watch.

Thank you for the reply. I forgot it was sung to the sound of the Simon and Garfunkel song. I must find my audio tape that has it. If I do I hope I can still have a way to listen to it. I wish it was on you tube. It was a classic. Douby led the Big East in scoring in his junior year at over 25 ppg before he joined the NBA. He was amazing.

I was at Rutgers with Douby and have no idea either.
I don't think many students were listening to the radio though after games.

I'm the one who wrote the lyrics way back then along with my friend. My friend's brother then performed and recorded it. I was told by WCTC that Bruce Johnson loved it. I'll try to load it on Youtube and post soon.

Plum Street wrote "Schiano Man" sung to Billy Joel's famous tune. Music was never added to it.
Note that we had plans to upgrade the Douby song by inserting an audio call of Bruce Johnson's "Douby for 3...bingo!" but we never got around to it.

A minor regret of mine - I realized afterward that "hey coach waters, how's it goin?" rhymes much better with keep the offense flowin.
Could’ve also gone with “hey coach waters, how ya doing? You gotta keep your offense movin’”. And despite two potential better lyrics, we’re talking about it over 15 years later!
