"Wild Dixon" formation could be effective enough to warrant its use a few times a game? I never considered this until I saw how Ingram just abused USC with it on Saturday. The way Dixon is running the ball this year, I think it might be worth a look.

I noticed the "Wild Bumphis" in the game this weekend. Hopefully Dixon could make it for a positive gain.

I think you need a speed guy to run the Wildcat and Dixon's strength isn't his speed. If you line him up back there by himself, the defense knows he's going to run it. I think our success running the ball is built off of the multiple options we have when snapped to Lee and then him deciding how to proceed based on what the D gives us.

But, he is our best player. It wouldn't be insane to give it a shot a play or two to see how the defense reacts. You never know.

Dixon is the catalyst of the running game, so seeing him back there would just reinforce the "run only" threat with him in that position. Unless, he can actually attempt/complete a pass.

craziest thing he ever did.
Henig was hurt, Rutland was hurt, and Omar was playing with a torn groin muscle. (ole miss game) Dixon was a true freshman taking direct snaps.
