Does Cignetti get any NFL head coaching interest?

I have never seen a more impressive coaching job in this short a period of time, and that includes Saban.

and no one lose your Shiite. I am not saying he is better than Saban.

I'm a Raiders fan and I'd be willing to draft Mendoza / Hire him. Cant really be worse than the last four head coach hires.

Edit: I know it's not going to happen + it's also likely to not work but when does anything we do work anymore?

NFL is all about X’s O’s. Could be wrong but that isn’t what makes Cignetti great. It’s his process, development and motivation.

also he already makes more than 3/4ths of NFL coaches and has a lifetime contract

In interviews he seems grounded, loyal and content. Maybe he’s a throwback to when money wasn’t everything. If he didn’t retire at Indiana on his terms I’m not sure we will ever have another “Frank Beamer” in CFB.

You think he would still be at Indiana if he wasn't now making over $12 million?
I think that he absolutely took the step up to Indiana because of the money and probably to some extent the challenge, but I want to believe that somewhere out there there is a coach that recognizes what constitutes “enough” and who wants to stay somewhere for reasons other than money.

I think he does want to built it and stay at IU. Cig could hve had the Bama, Michigan or Penn State job, basically any job he wanted this year. but he’s what 64 ? It takes a year or two for him to build this juggernaut.

He initially went from $300k to ~$100k to get his first head coaching job. He won’t leave Indiana. It might be the best coaching job in the country with their NIL and alumni base.

I wouldn’t at his age. You have a great thing going, making tons of money and will be a legend in Indiana even if their record declines over his remaining time there.

Last year was his first year at Indiana and they were awesome. Not sure how he does it but he doesn't need time or a team full of 4 star players.

Like having made a name for yourself, making money, and it only getting easier since you now have a billionaire alumni bought in.
They will start having 5* players here on out

If he left it would start over. He accomplished the hard thing which is starting out hot and building on it. Luckily for him, he did it somewhere that won't have to leave and the alumni can match what other colleges would give him.

The Navy All American game today had a number of IU hat picks. I watched about 10 minutes of it and saw 2 IUs and 1 Wisconsin.
