Does our AD need to sit down with Lebby

Not asking him to tell him how to do his job. Just asking him to tell him he has a job no matter what so he can coach accordingly. If someone thinks they may get fired they are going to coach differently than if they know they are getting another year. He wouldn’t even need to bring up KT really. Just let him know his job is safe, if it actually is safe.
Sitting him down and telling him to change QBs is doing his job for him

Im not saying he should tell him to change quarterbacks. Just saying he should know that if he chooses to do that or anything else it wont change that he is getting another year. That may free him up to not coach in a way that hinders the program.

Ok, then no, I’m not on board with verbally guaranteeing a coach a third year without an SEC win in the portal era

I don’t want him to get another year if that happens either, but if you’re going to be dumb enough to actually do that then let him know now, IMO.

And assure him that he is getting next year no matter what and tell him that he can play KT without having to worry about losing his job? I’m not saying Lebby should not be fired, but if Selmon isn’t going to fire him no matter what is that a conversation that the 2 need to have to try and build for next year at this point? Shapen played well yesterday but the season is basically over. Lebby doesn’t need to go into next year with a true sophomore quarterback with zero starts under his belt and Shapen is wasted reps at this point.
'Tell him he's getting next year no matter what?' First of all he cannot do that because 'no matter what' includes a lot of really bad stuff. Plus, if an AD resorts to pulling stunts to influence coaching decisions then he might as well fire the HC and do the job himself. So I say no way.
