Probably. He's still just 3-4, and his win last night had nothing to do with his ability to coach.

This is the third time since 2020 this has happened.

Gus. Jimbo. Billy.

And you can kinda count Ed O in 2021 also, although he was not fired until the end of the year.

LOL

"Croomed": Losing a game to such a terrible coach that you get fired the very next day.

"Lebbied": Winning a game against a terrible coach in such an ugly fashion that you get fired the very next day.

Ron Zook was Croomed. Napier was Lebbied.

How does Stricklin spin this? He spent the last few days telling anyone who would listen that mo decision had been made on Napier. So...the decision was made last night?
Terrible liar. It's been made he just did terrible damage control plus he's trying to save face. No idea how he is still the AD there

Have you seen the renderings for the Ben Hill Griffen stadium renovations? They coincidentally made the rounds last week.

With the obvious exception of football coaching hires, Stricklin has done pretty well for the Gators. Particularly with fund raising. Just depends on whether winning football games is still more 8mporyant than all the other stuff

Winning is Important to keep people interested in giving. Our AD is about to find that out. Feel like he did in baseball. But football pays bills. We can't keep giving money into a black hole that doesn't come with wins

I think we probably hold the record for getting opposing coaches fired. Getting one fired after he beats us has to be unprecedented though.

It just reinforces the notion that you can't believe a word that a coach or an AD or anybody else in a high position says, within sports or out.

Stricklin has essentially been put out to pasture. He got 4 more years of salary but essentially no decision-making ability - if what we hear is true.

I have not seen the plans, but the place needs renovating. It's ugly (enhanced by the bright orange and blue, not complementary colors). I've only been there once, but I do like that the playing field is well below grade, with fans coming in about midway in the stands.

I bet Selmon just about passed out last night. His job just got a lot harder.

You can watch his reaction on the final play if you look at him on the sideline for the final play. His delayed reaction made me think he didn’t really know what was going on. But Lenny’s reaction to go behind his players and get down on his knees was a wussy move. Imagine saban or Jackie Wayne would have grabbed Shapen by the facemask and drug him off the field.

Strick does not make decisions like that at UF - he is a little ***** that does what he’s told.
