Byrne got the name ninja because he figured out how to keep people from tracking his activities by his flight number. That's not a secret.

The secret is....Byrne conducted his interviewing right here in the SPS chat room.

are literally required to spend a minimum of 6 hrs each day, screwing off and wasting time. If they catch you burning money, throwing away LOI's or planning daytime fireworks displays you get an immediate promotion and double your salary.

There was a time when your act would have been laughed out of here. Someone being right or more in the know isn't ruining anything.

While not technically a rule #1.H violation, your post is basically <font style="font-style: italic;" class="BodyText">"This isn't the place to comment on that."
</font>

Then there is #5. <font style="font-style: italic;" class="BodyText"><font class="BodyText"><font class="BodyText"><font class="BodyText"><font class="BodyText">Posting of rumors, innuedo, second hand knowledge, he said/she said,
and the like are not only allowed, they are encouraged. Feel free to
share any info you feel is solid. Be aware that being wrong opens you up
for endless ridicule.</font></font></font></font></font>

You figure out what changed.

I will say that this thread has been awesome.

So much more information, true and false, is passed around from mouth to mouth all across the nation now through message boards. ****, this board broke Trent Lott resigning before anybody else did. To think that information provided thru this site and others doesnt influence things is beyond short-sighted and dumb.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: Tahoma, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); ">

Or....it could be that you hired a coach who wasn't a moron, while we had a coach in place that got lazy after a couple good seasons, recruited a bunch of questionable characters, and generally lost control of the team.

Meanwhile, your coach who isn't a moron has managed to beat all the crappy teams on his schedule, and beat our lazy *** coach 3 times while pulling out a few other solid wins.

That's reality. You aren't "passing us by" because of marketing savvy. You're "passing us by" because you've had a better coach recently who managed to get and coach better players. It's really that simple.

You've done some good marketing work recently. We've done some as well. The only difference is ours isn't getting as much notice because our marketing people have had a ****** product to market recently. I'm sure you could try your best to prove me wrong on that, but ultimately whether you win or lose happens because you hire good people who do a good job or you don't. You didn't beat us this past November because you had special gold uniforms or hashtags in the endzone. You beat us because our players weren't as good or at the very least they weren't as well coached and certainly weren't all pulling in the same direction.

Same can be said for basketball. You beat us at that because your coach gets better talent and coaches it better. I use better, a comparative term, because I wouldn't say Stans coaches well. He just does a better job than Andy Kennedy. Point being, it isn't some magic Stricklin or Byrne pulled. Stans owned Kennedy before they arrived and would own him if they disappeared tomorrow.

If you think that what is said or not said on this message board affects the MSU program then you are a complete idiot that shouldn't be allowed to breathe the same air that I breathe. I've been around the football program for 5 years and I can tell you that the only people who read the message boards are the managers and trainers.
So you're a manager or trainer for that dumpster fire? You suck at football and the internet, and it's hard to suck on the internet. I hope everything else is going well for you though. If you think people on the boards aren't "close to the program" you're kidding yourself.

Remember that time you weren't a 17'n idiot? Answer the question.

amongst the sea of idiots, I've got to be the secondary voice of reason here. If you think that what is said or not said on this message board affects the MSU program then you are a complete idiot that shouldn't be allowed to breathe the same air that I breathe. I've been around the football program for 5 years and I can tell you that the only people who read the message boards are the managers and trainers. If you think your one post regarding a recruit, player, or thecolor of the uniforms the team is wearing affects what the athletic department does, then you should seriously considerjoining the police force, where egotism is glorified.

Why do many major message board have a rule concerning negative posts about recruits? What is said here absolutely has an effect on them. What was said last year absolutely had a negative effect on CJ Johnson. Whether it should matter or not is another topic for debate. I know this... Jason Croom(our #1 wr recruit we missed on)'s MOTHER posts on volnation and has commented several times publically there on what is said about him HERE. These people set up google notifications to let them know when their name is mentioned on the web and then go read what it says. It's easy to do, and you'd be crazy to believe that it doesn't happen pretty prevalently. You type Quay Evans, Channing Ward, Richie Brown, etc...into google and there are MULTIPLE team message boards on the first 2-3 pages of results.

The argument is then "if a kid worries about what is said ab him on a message board, then he is soft, and we don't want him." Well, maybe that's true to some extent. What's also true is that alot of these kids grew up pretty neutral, have no real direction in where they want to go to school, know that all the coaches recruiting them are for the most part full of bs, and that everyone around them offering advice have an agenda. In this situation, it could be argued that his "prospective" fanbase opinions found on message boards are as accurate a representation of the schools as anything else in their life, if not moreso. Sad? Yes. But it is reality, especially for the most highly rated guys.

IMO, the only "safe" assumption is to think that they probably read each and every thing we say here... If they don't, that's fine too...
