A secondary recruiting violation involving coach Croom resulted in him being declared ineligible. MSU asking to reinstate him. A self reported violation, occurred when Bumphis came up behind coach Croom and placed his hand on shoulder in Tupelo while Croom was visiting Tupelo coach.

Link?

I hope this is one of those self-report/auto-ineligible things that the NCAA will overlooks. Surely...

The violation came to light Tuesday in MSU's response to a public records request from The Clarion-Ledger.

I know Kyle is just doing his job. I regret that his job calls for him to stir up dirt.

to become an infraction. sort of like the warning on a hair dryer to not dry your hair while in the shower. you know some idiot did that and sued the company. so it seems that there must have been a lot of hugging and what not by coaches over the years. I bet Gene despises this rule.

First of all, it isn't Tuesday. Didn't your previous post getting edited register with you?

Anyway, in one situation a SEC coach was visiting a high school coach when a prospect approached said coach and initiated the contact.

In the other situation, one of a SEC schools most famous and recognizable football alums just so happened to be on the sidelines of a high school football game...the sideline of a team that a) had multiple prospects and b) said alum didn't even attend.

Yeah, they were both secondary violations but that's where the similarities end.

Signed,

Secondary violations are secondary violations. Incidental contact is incidental contact. Explain the difference.

you are lost.

First, I didn't go back and read my previous post after I posted it to see that it had been edited.

Secondly, you do realize who he went to the game with, correct? He was standing with the Principal of Meridian HS, a personal friend of his.

Just as Bumphis made contact with Croom (the most prominent official of MSU football at the time) that Croom attended that had multiple D-1 prospects (Bean signed with UK), who is to say that Davis (injured at the time) wasn't the one who made contact with McAllister?

Again, they were both incidental contact.

They were both secondary violations.

Both were self-reported.

Both will end up with no punishment from the NCAA.

They are exactly the same to a reasonable person.

You're not real bright are you? Did the sheep photo under "Signed," not tip you off that this wasn't the "reasonable person" argument?

Coach Croom had every right to be where he was when the incidental contact occurred. By contrast, McAllister, if he had any regard for NCAA rules, should have never been where he was when that incidental contact occurred.</p>

The fact that you can't come up with anything substantial to prove your side is telling enough.

As I said in the initial post, this is kinda similar (not exactly similar) to the Eason/Davis/McAllister thing.

You, for some unknown reason, have tried to argue against it....and have failed miserably.

Congratulations, your and idiot.

Good day.

Have you never been to a game that didn't involve your high school? I've been to quite a few games that didn't involve my high school just because I wanted to see a certain player or a certain team. I just don't think it's strange to go to a game to see certain teams or players that stand out, especially if one of your friends is the principal of the school.

Dammit you are 17ing dense. Again, that wasn't "my" argument. Can you get that through you thick skull? Therefore, you saying:
The fact that you can't come up with anything substantial to prove your side is telling enough.
makes absolutely no sense.

What I posted was what I imagined the "sheep" argument would be (see the pic of the sheep). I agree with you that neither instance is a big deal and both are relatively the same. It was posted in jest in response to you asking what the difference was. If you must take everything so seriously this board isn't for you.

Jesus. Please see my last post in response to your partner in crime. You guys really need to turn up the sarcasm detectors.
