Dolly was a real one.

Unlike a lot of today's stars and ubiquitous teen idols, she was all about the music and not the drama. Not the biggest fan of country, and I absolutely loathe what it has become, but I can dig real country, and Dolly was real country. Now it's all over exaggerated fake accents and autotune. It's basically trailertrash rap now - and not in the amusing way like when Beck goes into rap mode.

Dolly was true to herself, her values and stood her ground. She shrugged off criticism when most of today's teen idols have a complete meltdown if someone is critical of them. She didn't sic her fans on anyone - unlike a few stars of today i can think of. When people met her, they were all the better for it instead of being ensnared in the drama.

She was an inspiration, a true artist and she will be missed. Rest In Peace.

Are there popular artists today? I couldn’t name one. Not one recognizable song either.

70s-early 00’s everyone knew the artists and the hit songs and you’d hear them playing everywhere and everyone would be at concerts. Does that even really exisht anymore?

Pure garbage I stopped listening to any form of popular music around 2010.
