A couple of moves Vandy made that maybe people didn’t pay enough attention to was when they nabbed New Mexico State’s QB and head coach (Jerry Kill). They look solid.
Naturally I chickened out & changed my pick from Vandy to VA Tech in my office pool yesterday.
From what I’ve seen, I feel the opposite. If they can make that drastic of a turnaround in one year, it gives me hope for us.
That is 100% on coaching. It never fails. As soon as the offense crosses that magic “longest practical field goal line”, they just go into ultra conservative clock running mode and attempt a long field goal instead of trying to get it into chip shot range. So so dumb.
They probably could have drove down for a TD. VT was on its heels.
Exactly. Get the damn TD if you can. Then kick the FG if you can’t. Don’t put the game on a kicker making a FG near his distance limit. Stupid. But most every couch does it.
