I mean what other choice does he have if they brought in a better player for him to mentor? He’s friggin Van Wilder at this point, he has no future playing professionally, I would think he is primarily staying to finish up a masters on a free ride with a friendly coaching staff. I doubt there is mutual interest for him to transfer down anywhere. His play is possibly the worst on the conference, give us this kid from Kansas and we are probably 2 wins better.
Again, he's not coming back to WVU to be a mentor or backup. He's been told he will be the starting QB.

The #1 question I'd love for someone to ask Brown after the game...

"Coach, why not put Greene in the game and make KU honor the QB in the 2nd half if the plan was to run the ball"

Then I’m out, and I imagine most other fans feel the same way and he will likely be unceremoniously dismissed when our season goes down the same path next year. It’s insane that Brown spent his whole professional life in coaching, slummed it up at Troy for 4 years building them into a winner, just to get to P5 and tie his wagon to a Bowling Green transfer he is friends with? Unbelievable.

I hope none of you watched the UNC-NC State game last night. I did....and that is why I'm sweating right now.

Im not sweating. We’re presently sitting on trip aces against an 18 year old at his first trip to the casino waiting for the River card and the stakes are just the blinds. If we were to miraculously lose I would be over it instantly.

Good, hard fought statement win going into Lawrence and coming out victorious. Oh wait, this is football. KU was 2-9. WVU won by 6. It's not a loss, but this is not a game a "football" school like WVU should come away feeling good about.

And the fact some of you will come on here and say, without irony, that it was indeed a good, hard fought win shows how far this program has fallen.

Just like last night and the Huggins band of mercenaries whistling past the graveyard talking about getting a quality win against EKU. WVU football and basketball seem to be looking over the precipice. Whether each program will gain its footing, or fall over the edge, remains to be seen.

Go cry some more that we won and that upsets you.

WARNING: The Neal Brown defending whiny ***** has arrived in the thread. The "fan" who loves mediocrity.
WARNING: This is from the douchebag crowd that cries like little girls about every thing Neal Brown does....and openly roots for the WVU head coach to fail....you know.....real fans.

I’m happy with the effort and how the game went given the results of the season. Even Doege for as much as I don’t want him to continue starting, does give good effort. The team could have folded at 4-6 and they rallied to continue the season which atleast shows solid character.

That said, I’m not happy that the talent level on the team means a good effort gets us a 1 possession win against Kansas, and a 6-6 season. We should blow the doors off that clown operation every time we play, and 6 regular season wins is always a failure for this program.
