That's as much of an assumption as his assumption. Well, actually, I think your assumption is probably more likely than his. But still, when everybody's working off assumptions, it seems a bit too presumptuous to so aggressively demonize the other guys' assumptions.
Maybe. But I doubt it. No offense intended.or maybe, just maybe, it isnt an assumption
YOU'RE WRONG!!!!!!!!!! :>)Who cares. I'm jumping to the conclusion based on wishful thinking. I understand the love affair because he brought RUFB out of the mist. But I don't understand the wishful thinking that he'll somehow be magically rid of all his negatives when he comes back.
He was the guy to get us ready to be invited into the Big Ten. He's not the guy to get us to the point where we have a legitimate shot at winning the Big Ten.
Hey Numbers,YOU'RE WRONG!!!!!!!!!! :>)
Oh, I see. Did we win a Championship that year? No. Or ANY other season under Schiano? No. Did we have the talent? The NFL thought so! Yet, we should have with all those awesome Offensive numbers. The season starts the first week in September. This was a very good Rutgers team, as was the one in 2007, but again mediocrity. Good coaches don't waste talent, and certainly don't wait until mid season to use the talent they do have. He knew what he had coming into the season. Actually, boasted about the ball never hitting the ground during passing drills in the summer. Yet, we scored how many points against Fresno......7(and that was in the 4th Qtr).Oh, that's the year Greg turned the team around, won 7 in a row and we absolutely smoked many of the teams.....but you were done after the first game. Nice. During that run, we hung 54 on Pittsburgh, 49 on South Florida and 63 on Louisville.
Both.Hey Numbers,
You serious in thinking Schiano is the best option at this point, or is this part of a running joke that I haven't read back far enough to understand?
Not ragging here. Serious question. I respect your 27k posts and willingness to predict which way the wind is blowing.
For all the people done with Schiano, he got more than double the votes than the next guy in the poll on our favorite website:
Former Rutgers coach Greg Schiano 39.58% (5,861 votes)
Temple coach Matt Rhule 18.42% (2,728 votes)
Former Miami coach Al Golden 14.82% (2,195 votes)
Alabama offensive line coach Mario Cristobal 11.82% (1,750 votes)
Other: 7.36% (1,090 votes)
Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck 6.35% (940 votes)
Bowling Green coach Dino Babers 1.65% (244 votes)
Total Votes: 14,808
Not battered wives. We just know what he brings to the table and think given the current circumstances has a better chance of succeeding than Golden or coordinators with no HC experience. Chip Kelly ain't coming here.Move on..so many battered wives on here
I'm high? So sitting him would have helped his game? Too funny. You are just like the many fans that wanted Laviano to start over Nova last year, and then wanted Rettig to start over Laviano this year. Guess what? Nova was the better choice in 2014 (by far) and Teel in 2008. Glad Flood didn't listen to the fans last year, even though our fans thought Laviano had "moxie". Sometimes the back ups don't start or play for a reason. How about giving Schiano credit, as it turned out to be one of the best statistical seasons a QB ever had at RU, and that's after a slow start. Our back-up was Dom Natalie.....so that's who you wanted in?
Move on..so many battered wives on here
IMHO: It's becoming glaringly obvious that Julie had nothing to do with him not wanting come back here. There are a few posters here who were 100% spot on and others were 100% wrong if so. Everything is leaning towards one side, or the other, having zero interest and my bet would weigh heavily on it being Greg and likely egotistical reasons or unrealistic expectations. I could be wrong, however, this is the vibe I'm getting.
See ya' Greg.
We'll put you down as "undecided."I don't get the never-ending hard on for Greg. In the BIG East, he'd on average go 6 - 6 / 7 - 5 (no more hiding behind a padded schedule and beaten down Big East). He'd demand way more than his worth and his insufferable ego would continue to cause too many WTF game decisions and unmanageable staff turnover. TIME TO HEAD IN A NEW DIRECTION...AND THAT INCLUDES HIS COACHING TREE TOO!!!
You see it hat way, I see it as over 60% of fans want some other than Schiano. And look at the crap alternatives given. Add a few names like Mullen, Ash, Venables and where the numbers go.For all the people done with Schiano, he got more than double the votes than the next guy in the poll on our favorite website:

Wow. Pot meet kettle. Also let me add the standard no offense. It's become glaringly obvious that you don't know what you're talking about
