Don't be surprised at an upset...It's Riley's MO.

His last year at OSU he lost 6 of his last 7. The one win was against #7 ASU.

In his first year here we were 3-6 getting ready to play #6 MSU...and we win.

Riley seems to pull one of these kinds of games out of his hat when things are darkest.

Don't see this happening. It'll take a very bizarre game with lots of turnovers by OSU. I'd be fine with a competitive game in the 4th quarter.

Weather looks like it will be awful not sure if that helps
Probably not. We need to be able to throw the ball against OSU's secondary. It's their weakest link. The only way it helps would be if we could somehow win the turnover battle by a couple. Their front 7 on D is ridiculous.

If Iowa State can beat Oklahoma on the road, anything is possible.

But Urban hasn't lost more than one regular season game at Ohio State yet. He seems to have them focused after the bad loss to OU. And you know he will try to run the score up if he can, in order to still have a shot at getting back into the playoff picture. They also have a bye week next week, so they shouldn't be looking ahead.

Not happening. Game will be over by halftime.

Riley got his upset against MSU. He will not get another upset.

Riley will lose to Purdue.

Iowa State has a good coach. They were hanging in there for most of the game against Texas too.

I’ll make a comparison of Ohio State is kind of similar to Oklahoma in the 70’s vs Nebraska, in that tOSU has quite a bit more talent now than Nebraska had then and currently. It will take a lot of help (fumbles like in 1978 vs the Sooners) from the Buckeyes for Nebraska to win this game, but I don’t see that happening. If Nebraska wins Saturday it would be the biggest upset in my lifetime, even bigger than in 1978 against OU or 1977 vs Alabama.

Ohio State is playing outstanding football right now, and Nebraska is just another dog to be kicked out of the way, and if given the chance, Urban will kick the dog many, many, many times. I hope I’m wrong.

Right. And my guess is Urban goes cover 1, cover zero all night and brings the noise against our OL.

Now, that's a perfect set-up for a good QB and WR set to get cracking if he can get some time and get the ball out quickly. But I saw what happened to Nebraska last year, Tommy got killed and the game was over quickly.

Place your bets!

Sadly I think you are right. My goodness, beating them would be sweet. But in reality I am dreading this game. I expect a bloodbath with a half empty stadium by halftime

Last week was the week for the big upset, they were ripe for it and I honestly thought we would pull it off. This week will not be pretty, I'm afraid OSU will put it on us.

Yep. I really thought we had a good shot last week. They were and are beatable. But this week? Geez. I think it is going to be ugly

I agree it's his MO, and it might happen because he's lived up to the other part of his MO...barely winning 50% of his games...

At Oregon State, winning didn't matter so much, nobody cared when they lost, and a team like his could get "up" for big games. Here, under the microscope in a bubble, Smilin Mike gets beat by teams like Oregon State whose biggest game of the year is visiting Nebraska (NIU and Arky State). He doesn't get his guys "up" for big games and chokes under the limelight. The circumstances are so different, it's ridiculous to make the comparison.

Guys like TO thrive because they have an ambition and a system and a mindset. SM has none of that, but he does have $7mm coming his way

According to some we need to be like Wisconsin and run the damn ball and not throw the forward pass. I agree their weakest link is the secondary and we need to throw it well to have a chance.

Well let's hope so....
Win this game there's only one game left that's questionable...penn state.
Pretty much guarantee an 8 win season, perhaps 9 with bowl game.
Would certainly help sell to recruits on the fence.

Ummmmm...No. You can have a realistic view of a team while still rooting for them on Saturday. Are you another one of those "I'm going to bash on the fan base for being critical because I know better" kind of people?

And seems clear you are silently hoping Nebraska gets pounded by OSU.
