hey guys, have you seen this? A couple of my buddies have come up with the doubleringer cowbell. I was skeptical at first, but these things are nice. You can check this out online at http://www.doubleringer.com or go by the Chalet in Starkville (beside Little Ceasar's Pizza) and get your hands on one. Can you imagine DWS with 35,000 + of these things? It will sound like 70,000 strong (ringing responsibly of course)!

but I'll be pissed if I'm sitting close to someone with one of these. Absolutely no way you can ring that thing without eventually hitting someone around you.

I think you would be pleasantly surprised. I know it seems like it would cause a lot of problems, but it really doesn't. I think if you were to get your hands on one to see it in "action" you may feel differently.

you guys for doing something interesting, and the website is really cool. Maybe this would be cool in the student section but the last thing I want is a ton of cowbells directed back and me and my family. That cowbell ringing pointed toward the field is a beautiful thing but I really don't want a second one pointed back at me. Best of luck to you though!

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" This thing looksridiculous. The Cowbells every one has now works completely fine to me.

1) Tradition. Now with that said, I know the first cowbells State fans rang didn't have handles welded on them but the tradition was firmly established with the current iteration of a single bell with handle and that is how it should stay.
2) It gives the bell haters more ammo to their claim that the practice is not about tradition but indeed simply about how much noise that can be manufactured.
3) Its too unwieldy. You have to carry that thing around in your hand instead of just jamming the handle in a back pocket. It can't be concealed if the need arises and it is twice as heavy as the single bell.

I will give it some credit as a novelty item. But, I hope it never catches on as the standard.
