Dre Kirkpatrick, Alabama’s outstanding cornerback who is expected to be a 1st round NFL draft pick in April, was arrested early this morning for possession of marijuana. According to the Manatee Sheriff’s website, Kirkpatrick – who declared for the draft last week after Alabama beat LSU to claim the National title – was busted with less than 20 grams of cannabis. No other details are available yet.

I could give a crap if someone smokes some pot. I can't imagine anyone would turn down a great athlete because he has a misdemeanor charge for having some pot. But ya never know.
