Dude you came out of no where....what's your old name?Dollabillz said:may be nothing, but it's a slow Saturday in the dog days of summer.
I agree with you and was actually going to use Auburn as an example. Mullen is recruiting Rivers hard. He can run an effective offense with out a spread option QB. I think that may be his ideal QB, but Mullen will ADAPT players to fit his offense. If a Shotgun stand-still in the pocket QB is the best available, he will take that. If a 4.45 speed QB with okay passing ability is the best available, Mullen will take that and mold the offense around him.<div>Dollabillz said:I disagree with everyone about this whole "Mullen needs a running QB" myth. A QB is a QB, his job is to get the ball to the playmakers, whether the offense is a spread, west coast or whatever. You run something suited to your talent. All offenses can benefit from a running QB. But that particular QB still has to be able to throw.
My proof? Auburn at the beginning of last year. As Chris Todd went, so did Auburn. And supposedly Malzahn needs a runner too. Mitch Mustain disagrees with that.
Is he any worse than Relf at that point in time? Mullen has trained Relf into a decent QB. Just saying .......patdog said:the fact is he got cut at LSU after just 2 springs and 1 redshirt season. You don't get cut that soon unless you're causing a lot of problems or you suck. And I haven't heard anything about Garrett being a trouble maker. Odds are, he wouldn't help us much no matter what offense we run.
Miles doesn't consider Garrett to be a threat at all at MSU (apparently because he's not very good), and granted him a release to MSU.patdog said:Miles didn't renew Garrett's scholarship, so Garrett asked for his release. He asked Miles to please not block him from transferring to MSU since he'd grown up such a big MSU fan, and Miles agreed.
