This is the least clutch defense in the Nation...if we were still down they would have held them, no doubt. When we get a surprise lead, it's 100% that they choke like nobody's business
Started off good and hopeful with the exception of Bama, but boy did it come crashing down in the second half of the season! Really sucks!
Well hopefully this brings about some changes for the program.
The story of the second half of the year. Not enough offense to help the defense. I hope we find a quarterback and offensive coordinator for next year.

As a Duke fan and a Panther fan, they have a lot in common. Both need some house cleaning before next season, and, a lot of help.

31 rushes for 127 yds. 4.1 yds per carry doesnt suck.
special teams were stellar. 2 kick offs returned for tds. AJ 2 for 2 on fgs. AP 5 punts for 50.2 agg.
time of possession wake 39.33 to dukes 20.27 WAY TO MANY 3 AND OUTS.
1-11 on third downs 1-3 on fourth downs just awful.

Add to that that Wake scored 39 points and had over 600 yards of total offense without its best 2 receivers. Tackling was really bad, as was Duke's continuing failure to seal the ends. So many hallmarks of a very poorly coached team in need of a competent QB. If Cutt refuses to make substantive changes, 3 - 5 wins will be the best we can hope for in the future. Woe is me.

Duke football is in a very bad place now. Love what Cut has done for Duke football but may be time for a regime change.

I definitely see the comparison in the programs Will...Administration has to make some kind of change if Cut doesnt do it himself OFC
I love Cut and what he has done for the program but after our Peach Bowl season I was worried that the same thing would happen here as happened with Wake and Grobe. It pretty much has. I think that he deserves to be the HC here as long as he wants but I really think that changes need to be made. The offense is horrible and while the defense was decent, it never made the stops when needed this season. We are 4-7 and easily could have been 7-4 if the Pitt, UNC and WF games had gone our way. No way should Syracuse beaten us the way they did. I would love to see a new HC with Cut retiring but, where would we start as far as looking for a better HC?
Rex Ryan. Talk about energizing a program! Unemployed, planning to move to Tennessee. Might as well be NC instead. Younger than Cut. Knows a few people. Doesn't need the money, although I'm sure he'll want some.

Will, I don't see Rex Ryan as (1) being a guy who would feel comfortable at Duke, or (2) a guy who Duke would be comfortable with. Unless he has REALLY mellowed from his Buffalo and Jets days.
