Never hurts to ask....All he can say is no, AND it would be a pay hike and promotion to Power 5 conference....OFC
And well, have you ever been to Boone? Have you ever been to Durham? My house is not too far from Boone, and the fans at ASU are far more enthusiastic than Duke football fans. It would take a lot more money to get me to Duke from ASU. My oldest daughter went there and i have been to several games there over the years. No chance I would move if I were him.. That being said, I am sure that someone will lure him away. Doubt where ever he moves will be an upgrade. jmo

You think Scott Satterfield made an "upgrade" on his move to Louisville??? Ya think??? Yes, w/o question he did. No question the APP FB FAN BASE is larger and more vocal than Duke I agree. It is similar to Duke basketball vs App basketball (in fact I know a number of App folks who pull their plug on the Mountaineers after fb season, and pull for other schools). However I NEVER said Drinkwitz would in fact leave. I merely said it NEVER hurts to ask.

There's plenty more candidates out there in case Cut were ousted (really no chance of that happening at this time anyway). Just something to think about in the midst of a nightmarish stretch after having a serious chance to take the Coastal until the atrocious UNC finish.

There are ways to get folks to Wallace Wade next year. Cut swallows his pride, calls Steve Spurrier and offers him the OC job, after firing current OC Zac Roper. True, ol ball coach could say no, but you never know. Plus his grandson Gavin is a walk-on qb at Duke! OFC

Hart, I half jokingly suggested the Ole Ball Coach a couple months ago. Don't think it would ever happen but while I support Cut for all he's done for us, if there are no changes with the assistants between this year and next, I think we can safely expect the same outcome on the field. Which would be a shame.
