Did Duke play well today, I don’t feel they did. Am I still a Duke fan, yes. It’s a message board and you should be able to point out good and bad.
You post like a petulant, little child when Duke shows a hint of struggle. And it’s every single time. The good thing about that, is it means you’re not around very often....and, that you’re silent.
I can’t see who you guys are replying to. I can’t filter out bad drivers in real life, but life can be sweeter with message board filters.
I’m not even trying to get him. He’s just a tiresome poster. I mean, none of us think Duke played well today. And it’s ok to say that. He just lacks the mental capacity to look at any kind of struggle with rationality. Right away he blows everything completely out of proportion. People like that are the absolute worst kinds of fans, IMO.
I’m around every day buddy, for 30 plus years. You won’t change that. Been here since 1986 National Champions game versus Louisville. I been a Duke fan ever since that game. And no message board comments will change any of that.
You may not have tried but you did lol. I agree, it's frustrating to watch but more often than not, this squad has been a joy to watch. Every team is gonna struggle at some point and today just happened to be one of those games, and we still won by 13.
But to call me a bum poster because I wasn’t pleased with how they were playing. Yeah I thought they played stupid the first half, too many threes. Also, didn’t think GT should of been playing with Duke at home. But I didn’t rip on any individual players or coach to be fired. I didn’t make it personal until you called me a bum poster and continued later.
Dude, chill. No one is saying you aren't a fan, no one called you trash, but you gotta level out some my man. Our boys are gonna struggle but you can't go and call them trash, which you did do. I know heat of the moment can get the best of you( trust me, I get it) but insulting these kids isn't gonna sit well with anyone here. Criticism is fine and deserved from this game, but not attacks. This is a great group of kids we have this year, and they deserve better than that.
My wife kept saying “why does he try to stay so low on his dribbling....you may be on to something here. While staying low is good - he looks like he’s trying based on his physical changes.
Saying "This team is garbage", is pretty damn personal for every player and coach on the team, as well as to most fans. If it's your opinion that the #2 ranked team in the country, and the odds on favorite to win it all is "garbage", sure, you have every right to post that, but frankly, I'm surprised you are getting hammered worse than you are for it.
Ok maybe I shouldn’t of call them garbage, but I wasn’t the only one frustrated with how they were playing.
I think your on to something here, it’s like Cam isn’t even comfortable handling the ball on a fast break, he mentally is re-teaching his body how to move on the fly.
I still think is Cam is gonna turn a massive corner come March and be steady and reliable. If there’s a guy I trust on our team to make a big shot, it’s easily Cam, and thought that even before the FSU shot. RJ, Zion, and Tre I trust to make the big play. But the big shot?????? Cam is money.

" I started to feel panicky and breathless". Your weak post about the team is trash losing to GT at home in the first half fits perfectly. I've been busy so I haven't been on here much lately, but I was able to watch much of the game today., and it wasn't very pretty! Still, Tre just returned, and it was apparent that he was rusty, hesitant, or both in the first half...but in the second half after dropping behind 8 points, it seems he let his instincts take back over. I'm so glad he got this game under his belt before us playing at ND.
Now back to GT. Yes, Duke certainly didn't play anywhere close to their potential, but the Jackets had a little something to do with that on defense. I remember watching the 1st half and thinking that we couldn't seem to penetrate or get a good look. So, I checked Kenpom and noticed they have the 12th best adjusted defense in the country, and they only allow about 26% from behind the arc (and wow, I would have loved for Duke to have shot that!!!). Also RJ had about as much trouble putting the ball on the floor against GT as I have seen him all year...with many strips on his drives.
We're not going to be any great 3 point shooting team, but I do believe we can be good enough to get the job done once we break out of this team wide slump. No one is shooting them with confidence right now.
Now a big plus is that Duke seems to be making big strides in ft shooting lately. In the last 4 or 5 games we've had a couple or 3 eighty percent ft shooting games...the only bad one being UVA, and I really believe that had a lot to do with the workload required to win that game, and resulted in Duke being quite fatigued...especially toward the end.
Okay, I'm sorry for the long post (if you're still with me), but I don't think the sky is falling here, Duke still has a lot of positives going for them.

I have noticed that too OAD! RJ seems to be shooting better FT’s!
Great post OAD. I really was happy to see our guys knocking down FT's today. It seemed like everyone was loose with the ball in the first half. I didn't realize GT's defense was that high on kenpom. I thought we adjusted well and didn't panic (like some posters did) and played a solid second half.
Btw I guess today was “blown garbage” as they didn’t finish the job and lose the game....
I agree.....shots are just not falling. I think I saw where we are 26 for our last 100 3pt’s??

Hahahaha we are too predictable, we really are. I was out enjoying a lovely winter day in Vermont, never been before. Was listening on the radio in the car between breweries (thanks to the wife for driving) and could visualize some of our board melting down as the game was unfolding. It’s fun to come back several hours later and see it confirmed. Let me try to answer some of the comments;

As much as it will help long term, adding Tre back into lineup may take a game or 2 for us to get back up to speed. We all acknowledged it in our pre game thoughts, why is it so hard to believe when it is actually happening. If not the physical adjustments, the mental adjustment of thinking everything is going to be back to normal instantaneously is something we need to work through. I didn’t say you, dukejay was the one that called me a bum poster. And I’m not a little kid been a fan over 30 years. Again I said I shouldn’t of call the team garbage, that was hard and out of frustration. But I stand by my feelings that the t am didn’t play well. I wasn’t the only one that was stating that at that time of game either. I didn’t mention any players names or call out players by name.

That isn't a "fan".....it's called a front runner....always behind them when everything goes good,..first sign of bad play they jump the gun and go ballistic
dukecorey no you didn't mention any player by name or call out players by name. You said this team, to me that includes every player and staff of Duke. No need to single out any player, you just grouped them all in one pot period. I'm done with it, but as a huge Duke fan, I will defend this team against anybody and that means other fans here as well. We are so spoiled that sometimes I think we as fans take all the greatness that comes with Duke for granted. Just my 2 cents.
I am willing to bet the 3 point slump will go away. Jack is struggling but he will find it, the same with Cam. When we start shooting around 35 percent from 3 look out.
