Said the call on Grayson wasn't close. He never said anything negative, so avoids blowback, but was clear the call sucked. He handled it like a 5 time champ. What'd he say? I can't watch it right now
At the time of the technical call on K, I thought at the time that he was purposefully doing it so he could blame the loss on himself, rather than the players who busted their balls all day. I think he saw the loss coming at that point.I Really like players like Grayson Allen who hate to lose and will fight to the end. You can tell that everyone on this team looks to him for leadership. I would like to see a little more in Ingram as he has more talent. The T on Allen and coach K didn't bother me at all today. Got to go there sometimes OFC
I think he was pissed at the big change in how the refs were calling the game.At the time of the technical call on K, I thought at the time that he was purposefully doing it so he could blame the loss on himself, rather than the players who busted their balls all day. Tison31 didn't like it either! OFC
Allen lost it, but I don't blame him. I also don't blame the ref for T-ing him up. I can read lips, and Allen was over the line. So it goes. The technical against Coach K didn't really bother me because he hasn't gotten a technical in awhile that I can remember so I just chalked that technical up to him probably saying a little more than he usually says to the refs but in my opinion I think the technical against Grayson was ridiculous because he was frustrated after picking up his 5th foul, yeah he yelled out "that's f'n bs" but it wasn't like he ran up to the ref and yelled it in the refs face, so to me, by the ref hitting him with a technical was basically saying that he wasn't allowed to get frustrated after fouling out
Grayson lost his cool. He absolutely should have gotten the technical foul.
No way you can be upset with this team right now. It would have been nice to win, sure; but we have been fighting like heck and came out looking pretty good in the win column after this 4 game stretch.
Just a couple of random things..
1. Marshall Plumlee has become so much better and tougher throughout this season. Wow.
2. Thornton is going to be really, really good next year.
3. The ACC is tough.
4. I may catch some flack for this, but I really really wish Grayson would quit with the constant head flails.
Enough was enough by the first comma of your post. You ready for your elbow to the face?I agree with the head flails, and after tripping the guy last meeting with Louisville, and his overall aggressive attitude this game, I honestly believe he needed a good elbowing to the face to come back down to planet earth, he's been doing this crap for a few games now and if I'm being real here, it's on my damn nerves. He constantly goes for flops and plees to the ref like he should be invincible. Sorry, I love the kid just as much as everyone else and he is one of my favorite players to wear a Duke uniform, but damn man enough is enough.
I'll add a second elbow!!!!Enough was enough by the first comma of your post. You ready for your elbow to the face?

I'm sorry you disagree and I also understand that when you're a fan of something you tend to not look at the bad things as much, but he really does try to flop too much. Doesn't change how I feel about him what so ever, it's just obvious when he does it.Enough was enough by the first comma of your post. You ready for your elbow to the face?
My biggest frustration with the game was how we handled the press.
1. We seemed to walk back to throw it in giving Louisville PLENTY of time to get the press set.
2. No one seemed know what they were suppose to do -- whoever needs to throw it in GET THERE fast.
3. Put a pick on the defender of Plumlee and let Plumlee run down, throw a long pass and get a layup. It seemed to work once.
Cannot understand HOW we could not break the press!!
My only other frustration was the lack of composure -- really just a mental meltdown.
The bright side is that the team has a lot of drive and heart. Even in the loss of their composure, I did not see them give up -- bad calls (and there were plenty) and all.

It's not ALL he does, I've just seen him do it a decent amount. Once again - it doesn't change how I feel about him at all, I love his winning mentality and I agree whole heartedly he drives like a mad man, but the head flailing really is something he does.Every Duke fan thanks you for adding to an overplayed notion that all he does is flop. There are plenty of people over at THR that would love to have this conversation with you.
