This team just hasn't had time to gel, a month from now...holy smoke.
Ive been impressed with Amile and Tatum cleaning up the boards. They've had some impressive rebounds.

Dirt we have all seen Duke stink the place up more than a few times just like all teams occasionally can do but what worries me about this game is that this year we shouldn't be playing like this, not with the five star talent we have. I hardly ever talk about us playing poorly and I know we will win but this hasn't been much fun to watch.

It's clear who k's 6 man rotation is in crunch time. Will be interesting to see what he does when they face a team with legit post play?

Wish we could have seen Giles a but more in the last several minutes of the second half. He didn't really play long enough to get the jitters out.

Starting to be concerning with the size Duke has and the tallest guy on Tenn St is 6'9" and they are beating us with points in the paint.

Matt doesn't play for his offense I wish some fans would realize that. His offense is just a plus when he's on.

No Bolden concerns me as well.

I think I understand why K likes a 7 or 8 man rotation. It just seems hard to develop cohesiveness and a flow to the game when you play 10 players.

This has been hard to watch. Sucks to see Coach go to the 6 man rotation the second half. Freshmen aren't going to get better riding pine. Taking some lumps can be good for a team.

Yeah, I understand your concerns, Gottago, but I can't remember a situation quite like this for Duke. We've had so many injuries (to major players), and we're just now getting everyone back to playing. In some ways this Duke team is like a team just starting the season, instead of one that has played 12 games.
And another thing...this Tennessee team is pretty good.

McCall has killed Duke all night.

I'm not getting your ," good thing points don't when games!" I mean they do but Matt plays for his defense and leadership. Any points he scores is a plus.

Matts defense is solid, on offense he's so bad it's pretty much 4 on 5

Solid keyword ..on ball below average imo..our offense is suffocating with him in with guys literally leaving him wide open ..I had a feeling this would happen..why Jacksons not in more is mind blowing .bolden either he's gotta learn sometime?

I'm sorry?? Shey He isn't expected to hit wide open shots ??? Come on you play at Duke you hit those shots! Especially if your starting ..wow it's not even that his ball handling is suspect along with his passing ..he hustles I give it to him.i did too..lol

Running out of time to gel. The schedule is not going to get any easier. Side note, I don't see how Bolden is viewed as a top 20 pick in the draft. He really hasn't shown me anything.

I agree somewhat here but I think some here need to temper expectations for this team. They won't have much time to develop if they play 6 guys, trying to escape with wins. Good thing about being a fan though? I'll back them regardless.

Solid? He's this teams best defender!
I remember people saying Grayson was sucking and needed to sit because of the toe and Luke needed to play less with his hair and more on defense.
So he's the only player bad on offense on this team? If you have Tatum, Grayson and Luke on the floor at the same time with Jones who's looked at as scorers? Jones isn't expected to score much if at all. Any points he gives are always a plus. Just like any one coming off the bench

At this point, I don't want to face UNC, UCLA, or UK. I hope we get better. We ran an abysmal UNLV team out of the gym and got hyped, this team plays alright defense and we looked lost. We won't be able to run with some of these teams right now imo. I love our guys but i'm not really impressed right now. So many of these elite guards will be doing a shooting drill with our defense.

That was probably our worst game of the season. I had a feeling it would be. This year more than ever, that 9-day break was both a blessing and a curse. Banged up players got to rest, but we desperately need more games under our belts to get used to playing together with everyone back. This has been an unconventional year and methinks we're going to have to "gel" differently than we have in years past. Hopefully, Coach K will prove why he's the GOAT and help us do just that.
