another 2 1/2 months! Why don't you Cousins get caught selling graduate degrees again and give us something to banter about.

The Reds are 8-17 in games decided by 1-2 runs because their new manager is a moron. Dumb Bell doesn't have any imagination whatsoever, and that's why the Reds are incapable of manufacturing runs. It's home runs or nothing on offense, and two starting pitchers who may never win a game because they pitch just badly enough to lose.

Sonny Grey appears to be snake bit for the reason you mentioned! At least we're playing young players at this point, maybe a glimmer of hope for the future.

Tyler Mahle has Sonny Gray's disease. Both do things such as giving up a run when the Reds get shut out, or surrendering five runs when the Reds score four. That's what losers do. Contrast Tom Browning, who had mediocre (at best) stuff, but often pitched just well enough to win. Chris Welsh and some other sabermetric geeks will tell you that a pitcher's win/loss record is purely a product of luck. That's crap.

Not much chatter from the eers. They have a brand new coach and, I'm certain, several Heisman hopefuls. They must be hoping to sneak up on their competition this season.

It's hard to sneak up on someone when you stink up the field as bad as the cousins have been known to do.
Hahahaha......So you doubt last season's failures were all part of wvu's ingenious plan to lull the opposition to sleep. I think you're probably right. If anything, wvu's opposition is more than likely frothing at the mouth at the chance to play our misguided cousins....lol

Humpy...they'd better watch out for JMU! I know they think this new guy is Knute Rockne but they'll be in dogfight with the Dukes,IMHO!

At least they did the right thing in CF...starting to wish they'd just jettison Puig in RF, he's not hitting a lick and he's not part of out future!

I've heard you warn them several times, Tonycried2! A loss to JMU would be disastrous!

Snow, just step back and let them go.

They maybe right on JMU. WVU may go 0-12 for the next 20 years, but at least one corner of the state will be happy.

Mops for Props is a much more interesting subject and sports related, unlike the Heather Bresch scandal. Let's talk about MU players picking up their paychecks in the football office. Paychecks for jobs where showing up for work wasn't a job requirement.

What exactly has Gee gotten away with for years? Manchin's puppet Mike Garrison was WVU's president at the time of the Bresch scandal, and Mops for Props happened at Marshall. Gee had nothing to do with either one.......

Well ..... let's be careful here on the Mops-4-props deal.

Players were showing up at Chapman Printing, but the issue was that they should never of had anything to do with their employment through the athletic department.

Excerpts from the link posted below -

"Allegations in depositions in a civil lawsuit against Pruett put the former Marshall coach at the center of a major cheating scandal at the Huntington institution of higher learning rather than on the periphery, which had been the story until now.

The NCAA busted Marshall in 2001 for a series of rule violations, including academic fraud and a scheme where players were paid up to four times the prevailing wage for jobs with a firm owned by mega wealthy and ultra-personable Marshall booster Marshall Reynolds.

The school was put on NCAA probation for four years and lost five scholarships a year for three years. The school also was required to have no association with Reynolds for five years. (The very instant the five years was up, the school welcomed its big time benefactor back with open arms.)

Former players Sam Goines and Charlie Tynes swore they were paid $25 an hour to work for Reynolds' Chapman Printing Co., well above the going rate for menial labor.

Both players testified Pruett told them that if they wanted to play, they had to sign statements saying they were paid $12.50 an hour, not $25.

Then there's the allegation by former Marshall strength and conditioning coach Mike Jenkins, who said in his sworn statement that Pruett guided certain players to a particular physical education class because they were guaranteed to get A's.

Frankly, it was always hard to believe when Marshall got caught cheating that Pruett didn't know what was taking place under his nose.

The questionable payments to players started under Coach Jim Donnan and continued under Pruett, with players even picking up their checks at the football office."

"Dr. E. Gordon Gee is one of America’s most prominent higher education leaders, having helmed universities for more than three decades. In 2009, Time magazine named him one of the top 10 university presidents in the United States. Recently, the website Great Value Colleges named him the nation’s top university president."

Ha ha, E. Gordon Geek is the World's finest college president!!! He'd still be at The Ohio State University, if he were so great.
