Point 6 stands out. The lack of pressure on Jones until late in the game can’t happen when the Pats OL was down 3 starters. It’s one game and there’s young talent coming in, but it bears watching. This defense will be atrocious without a consistent pass rush. Point blank.
I thought several of Roob's points were excellent. Point 6 is spot on. The D is set up for pressure, but weren't getting it -- a point I made during the game. The field may have been an issue, and 1st games are always tough to gameplan for. But if the D doesn't get pressure consistently from the DL, the season will be more difficult than many of us thought it would be.
I thought Point 2 was also a bullseye. I haven't a clue what Brian Johnson was trying to do with the O. I agreed with Points 3 & 4. I hadn't thought about Point 5, but Roob is correct. Point 7 is the caveat we all know is lurking. I also hand't thought too much about Point 8, but I concur with Roob. Point 9 is a good one -- something several of us commented on in the thread. Point 10 seems to be a subset of Point 2, but I don't disagree with it.
