Is very disappointing in my opinion. I can live with MSU not being very good on there, they haven't been in a while. But they screwed the roster up this year far worse than they have in previous years. For instance, MSU has two left ends at 72, but a 67 LE starts and left and a 59 RE starts at right. The only freshman I noticed that they got right was Russell. We have 0 freshman wideouts and a redshirt senior is our only kicker.

Then there is the gameplay. My first play from scrimage against Generic Jackson State is a slant route that turns into a big gain. Getting the buttons mixed up, I dive instead of turning on the juice to outrun the defender. I had no defender within 3 yards of my when I dive, the replay clearly shows the ball coming out when I hit the ground...FUMBLE...no review and no way to challenge. I have also seen several times a ball carrier run straight through a defender as if he were an apparation with no sign of contact from either.

I wasn't a big fan of the camera angles jumping around after the ball is snapped, but the graphics look pretty sharp.

I like the in game adjustments idea, even though it really slows things down if you just wannaplay a friendly game.

last night may have a little to do with my disdain. I also dislike the fact that you can buy dynasty helpers. Either make it part of the game or leave it out. Selling the crap reminds me of smallworld going comercial and allowing people to purchase extra trades each week. It gives too much of an unfair advantage over those who don't buy the crap.

I do like the new option to focus the defense on either pass, a particular receiver, or run left/right/middle. It provides a tecmo bowlesque result to predictable online play calling. I do wish I could find a defense to stop the run up the middle without having to do that though.

pissing and moaning about the rosters... It can be fixed by an easy roster download. I played the game last night and was satisfied. Its a solid game with a lot of very nice graphic and animation tweaks.

But that was a programming error. You can download the updated set of rosters which are pretty much spot on.

that sounded like he was in his 40s. He was an Ole Miss fan and we played the Egg Bowl in Starkville.

A couple of points:

He already had over 25,000 gamer points as of last night. Which is crazy.
Despite this, the guy was in the beginner room.

He scored pretty quickly, then went for 2 to take an 8-0 lead. The whole time he was being an ***. "Moo U" was very common.
Anyhow, he had a 22-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and asked me if I needed to go back to the farm or did I want to keep playing.
I said 17 you ******* and kept playing. I managed to put together a drive, and after he called me lucky a few times, he started driving down the field. Got down to the 1 yard line I picked the ball off and ran it back. 22-15

I got the third quarter kickoff and drove down. went for 2 and took a 23-22 lead and the ***** quit midway through the third quarter.

A patch will be released in the next week that will update them for online play, I believe.

Unfortunately, I find that more times than not I cant play a whole game online. If im winning my opponint always quits... Ive basicly given up online play.

Dude started talking **** while I was continually beating his arse online in 1 on 1 on COD 5 (WatW) this past weekend, so I hooked up my headphones to tell him I would only use my knife the rest of the time and then unpluged it....after i beat his *** 7 times in a row all he could do was say 17 you and left

I almost decided to not buy 2010 and instead look for roster updates for 2009. But then I remembered the 2009 game still had those awful white helmets that I hope I never see again.

Can xbox360 and ps3 people play against each other? Or do ps3 people only see other ps3 players online?

You can only play people playing on the same console.

I never play online, due to the fact that I have a life and there are too many people online who don't and that is all they do.

that enforce the quitter rule (once someone quits three times, they are banned) but they just sign up for a new username. Sort of like message boards.

I would support paying $10 extra for the game to support online play - that would eliminate a lot of that crap.
