Early signing day

I think there should be one like most MSU fans.

I would like to see one in December- basically have it the same day that JUCO players can commit. I can see an arguement for August- so that players can be done with recruiting and then can focus on the upcoming football season without having to be harassed by Yancy and others.

Which date does the pack think would be better?

It needs to be done before pre-season practice starts. December really isn't much of an early signing day.

i'd love one. some say it'd hurt msu. i think it'd help us. these guys that saban and miles and the rest of the elite programs string along until january or february would find out exactly where they stood earlier in the process if the coaches "encouraged" them to wait to sign until the later signing date. once they'd find out where they stood, i'd bet a lot of them would start looking around again. it'd also let programs like us sign our best commits early and not have to worry about the elite programs coming in late in the game and turning them once the elites lose out on a couple of guys (think whitehead and auburn). so maybe we have a few lesser guys that we want to wait on and they get their feelings hurt and look at usm or la-monroe or something, but i'd take my chances on losing a few of those guys for a better shot at some higher end guys.
