And they are basically out of the playoffs of the Playoffs.. Gonna be hard to get those 2 playoff spots from Shelby and Burns
Yep I feel for them. It’s like it was in the 80s and 90s. A few really good Burns teams got left out.
There’s 4 teams at 1-2 in the South Fork and I’m glad we beat two of ‘em....worried as hell about other two though! It’s way too early!....to say those teams are out of the playoffs. South Point or Chase could make it interesting!

One or the other definitely could but it's almost impossible for both Chase & South Point to be in the playoffs from the format I've seen.

chickens before they hatch. South Point still has to play R-S Central, Shelby and Chase. There is no way both SP and Chase makes the playoffs. Chase already has two losses, so it will be difficult for them to get in period. If South Point losses to Shelby or Chase, I don’t see them getting in either. There are too many teams playing in weak conferences who won’t have more than one loss. Those type teams will keep two loss teams out.

Isn’t a 3 way tie for 2nd possible? That includes Chase and South Point and the loser of Burns-Shelby.....Requiring a draw?

Well Burns has already beaten both Chase and South Point, so a draw is possible between Shelby, South Point and Chase only if Shelby loses to Burns and South Point and Chase beats South Point. Of course RS might have something to say about it too.
East Gaston is very young (I think we have 3 seniors). What I've witnessed the 1st three games has not been promising. We have been pretty bad in all phases of the game. We have a pretty good freshman QB and some promising skill people. Unless something changes, Chase will win by 4 or 5 TD's (at least). Holding out hope that things will eventually click for us.

EG has the skill players to be successful. Keeping Sherril at QB to build for the next (3) years will be really special. The line is the issue. I also am still convinced that Hill could be used better by letting him run downhill. He's running sideline to sideline way too much by design. Get in the pistol and let him run off tackle. Those 3 yard losses right now become 2-3 yard gains.
I agree about Hill. O line is a big problem, so is the defense. Basically been that way for many years.
Does anyone remember like say the mid 80s for a couple years they had a division 2 playoffs? Kinda like the NIT I guess
Yep...I do. I also remember 11 teams in the old SW3a and 1 playoff spot. 9 conference games and 1 non conference games in a season.
