That was only his 5th post sense joining Nov 7, 2019. He may be going through a rough time and lost track of time and that was his last memory of who was on these teams. I have to look on MaxPrep to see who is playing if we have a 2020 season played in close to a month.
I already have 3 headlines for the Northwest 1A conference for this spring and I am so excited:

LOL, just what I was thinking earlier this afternoon but with not all the same players because of graduation.
They will probably call this spring’s champ the 2020-2021 champion and the fall champ the 2021 champion.
We could see a team or teams saying they won 2 State Championship games in one year. That would be interesting.

I heard Chris Griggs and Davey Diamont were looking good for East this year. Going to be tough sleding though with Michael Dobson at Mount Airy
Todd gurley and tyquan lewis are gonna be returning as well should be another great year in Tarboro

If Gurley doesn’t have any reoccurring knee injuries this year he could be a potential all state performer.

On a serious note, I have heard that East Surry picked up a transfer from North Surry. Will he be eligible?
If and when he moved out of North Surry's district to East Surry's district is the understanding I have. That's for the fall 2021 season, not sure about 2020-2021 spring.
I think for the fall season if he is playing basketball, he would have to set out a year but seems and I may be wrong if North Surry approves the transfer and he moves before summer practice, he can play. I am pretty sure this has been allowed in the county before. If Slasher Killer sees this he is much closer to the North Surry program and may know the answer to your question.

Surry has weird transfer policies. Athletes have transferred to other schools in the district and were immediately eligible before. I think the school district really has open enrollment, they just don’t advertise it.
that’s what the NCHSAA says about transfers. In county they can allow immediate eligibility. Not sure how they could let that fly though unless a bonafide move was made.
I'm pretty sure the NCHSAA allows 1 transfer now without penalty. It's still left up to the LEA ultimately.

The one transfer rule is only if both schools says it's not for athletic reasons.
The LEA can create criteria for immediate athletic eligibility. Straight from the handbook.
