East Surry at Starmount Updates

Tale of 2 quarters. ES dominates the 1st qtr, Starmount comes roaring back in the 2nd qtr. Crazy end to the half. ES drives to the 2 yard line, gets stopped and tries to clock the ball to get another play in. Ref blows the whistle, everyone stops, then play expires. After lengthy discussion the refs don’t acknowledge the whistle and end the quarter.
Congratulations to East Surry. Starmount dug too big a hole and the comeback took all the gas out of their tanks. The job Coach Grinton has done to get his team from where they were early in the season, all the way to the western finals, is impressive. Enjoy your first trip to the state championship game, Cardinals.
Congrats to East Surry for the win! Great job Rams...down 26-0 most teams quit but you guys played hard and represented Ram Nation with pride.

Funny how WRH had those same sentiments when you guys reached them every year in the playoffs. But, yes you are right in this one. Good job.
Kinda sad there were no Mt.Airy fans congratulating or cheering there conference foe East Surry on during the game, on here... I didn't realize what a group of priviledged spoiled brats they (Mt.Airy) really are. YIKES!! No wonder everbody bashed them so bad when they got destroyed by East Surry last week..
There aren’t enough words to describe how great of a job Coach Lowman and the rest of the East Surry staff have done this season. The players are having the time of their lives and have all fully bought into the system. Great job Cards!

So salty....do a better job of making sure your enrollment puts you in 1A instead of 1AA. You Bears know you'll never win in 1AA even when you pull from three or four different high schools!!!! Mt. Airy Charter Granite Bears can't win on an even playing field!!

The Cards are playing with “house money” now so they really have nothing to lose. No one expects them to beat Tarboro. Go play loose and free and just see what happens. MA wasn’t supposed to have a chance last year and they kept it close most of the game. You never know, that’s why you play the game. The undefeated Patriots weren’t supposed to lose to the Giants. Buster Douglas wasn’t supposed to beat Mike Tyson. It’s not probable for ES but you never know.
Some of y’all seem to have an inferiority complex and it is showing. You have the best season in school history and you can’t help but talk about MA. Are most of their fans terrible and barely literate? Yes, but celebrate your own success. It is the only time this has ever happened. Enjoy it! You don’t see Starmount fans trashing Elkin after making it to the western finals. (Suck it Elkin).

Watchdog exactly right ,house money is rite,tarboro has something to lose ,Cards May surprise you, Starmount roughy it last nite when’s Cards lost focus in the second quarter ,you have to be focused and just play . Sometimes in life we say .dang I wasn’t expecting that.
