Go ahead and talk **** to me about me but don't put down those kids at MA for their game. They we're conference champs 2 in a row I think and had record of 26-2 last 2 seasons. Give props to ES.they earned it. Bears were not a one man team and that but D Greene is a 4 star athelete that u had to double team and was real good as safety on D. And #6 played hurt and could hardly walk at times. Like I said u take Boaz and gosnel off ES.and what would they be like. It does make a difference especially in 1A ball. Just keep trash talking I really could care.less about what Grown Adults say on a message board. MA like ES has a great football tradition and TBH the ones on here talking **** are fans of schools that both beat the breaks of off for many years. ES fans have been pretty good

The cold temps will be in favor of the Rams.. ES is a really good team, but they are a flashy team and not ready for physical, cold-weather football. Starmount has proven over the years that they are very physical. The Rams vs the Vikings for 1AA next Saturday! GATA
I hope I’m wrong, but I just don’t see how Starmount wins this one. Looks like they have some talent in the pipeline, it’s just not there yet. #21 for them looks like he’s going to be a player. Any of y’all know who he is?
I agree cold weather will favor the rams because their only chance to make this a game is to control the time of possession and keep the East Surry offense off the field. Turning this game into a grind it out slobber knocker is their only chance and that will make for a close game. But if they can’t keep East Surrys offense off the field it will get ugly quick
That 11 seed team beat a 6 & 3 seed. The 10 seed team beat a 7 seed. You play who is put in front of you. Starmount is playing decent ball right now and they deserve to be playing East Surry this Friday. Did they get some breaks throughout the playoffs? Sure, but that is part of the game. Your team had their chance and couldn't pull it out, it happens. Move on.
I would guess this is going to be a close 1st half with East pulling away and winning by 2 scores in the 2nd. Don't think this is going to be a blowout, like last week!
You didn't understand what I was saying. That 11 seed that beat the 6 & 3 seed team, was obviously better than the 11 seed rating. Maybe they had some injuries during the year that caused them to lose some games and slip in the ratings. Maybe they are younger and took time to mature and learn the system. Maybe, just maybe they play in a tougher, split conference that included a 1A # 2 seed team and a 2A #3 seeded team, so they were seeded a little lower. The #11 team had to have been a decent team in order to pull those upsets and make it just as far as MA did.
The only team that MA beat in the playoffs was a swain team that is terribly down this year. Who was also only ranked 8th, not much better than the 10 or 11 that was "so easy". It gets old every year that when MA loses there are a couple fans that get on here and talk crap about anyone that is left and make excuses. "They had it easy", "We were injured" or "the refs costs us the game". It's okay to admit that there are better teams than you in a given year. Humble yourself once in a while. It's good for the soul.

Yes Mt Airy cry’s a lot ,if my memory serves me correctly ,Smith carried MA in first game ,Greene was shut out ,so if Greene had been there in second game he would have made a 40 point difference bullcrap ! MA got their *** handed to them ,Cards just flat brought it on that nite .Enough about MA your gone and out ,guess MA news going outta business now ,no more MA Bears ! Hope East brings that fire tonite ,I think Starmount brings a much better challenge tonite .Good luck to both teams.

NCHSAA website is showing 1AA will be played at Carter Finley Stadium (NC State) along with 2A and 2AA. Times are 11:00am, 2:30p, and 6:00pm. No official confirmation as to which games will be scheduled at which times, but the order in which they are listing the games suggests the 1AA would be held at 6:00pm.
