Yes, you are right about that. I don't know if they can play better than they did tonight. If they can look out. They played a flawless game with no turnovers and caused Whiteville to have 3 scoring 2 TD'S on 2 of them. Good luck to both teams.ED gotta bring the heir A+ game as well
Great assessment. I feel different about East Duplin this year. Maybe everyone hating on DC has made me want to see the winner of Fri nights game go kick some *** in the final. I have never pulled for ed, but I think I will if we should lose. After what I saw last night, I feel confident wrh will win, unless we stink up the joint- and that's certainly a possibility. I see two teams about as evenly matched as we ever had. Our defense I'd flat out peaking at the right time. We threw 2 td passes last night also. We not gonna throw much-but we can if we need to. Unlike some other programs, for the most part, the posters are knowledgeable and respectful. Overall, this is what we look forward to in Duplin Co every year. Good luck to all, and I pray no serious injuries. I'll take my dogs by 7First and foremost, hats off to both of these teams for their accomplishments so far this season. Someone from Duplin Co. will represent the East this year(#DC3). Better get there early Friday night, I'm sure it will be a packed house.
I didn't make it to either game last night, but from what I hear, both East Duplin and Wallace are primed and peaking at the right time. From my source, ED may be a little banged but nothing to be alarmed about from what I'm told.
Food for thought....
After what I've seen from Wallace, they have athletes all over the field. The keys to beat them in my opinion is to contain their QB (pure athlete), slow the game down, and limit possessions. Like I said, they have athletes all over the field and ANY of them can take it to the house at any given time. I was almost certain Kerr was going to be the Bulldogs best back this season, but it looks as if Irving Brown has taken that title. I'm still waiting on a breakout game from Montgomery. I'm sure the Panthers will be keying on Brown and Pearsall so it may be time for Montgomery/Kerr to have a bigger role. If you look at the last game against East Duplin, the number of carries is split pretty evenly. When you have 6 guys with 50+ carries on the season, it can be difficult to determine who will get the ball. I'm assuming they ride who has the hot hand so to speak, but everyone will get their shot.
For East Duplin, will Coach Holley implement the passing game anymore than usual? In the playoffs, the # of passing attempts have dropped 50% or more. Sure, we didn't need to pass against North Pitt. We attempted 3 passes for 31 yards against James Kenan in the playoffs vs. 11 passes for 147 yards in the regular season. I'm sure James Kenan was more prepared the second time around, but I'm just going on the numbers. ED did attempt 6 passes against Clinton, and I haven't seen the official numbers from last night's game. I'm sure Wallace will key on Avery Gaby. The Bulldogs held him to his lowest rushing yardage of the season during their last meeting (still had 20 carries for 91 yards), so it will be up to the Hall's and Kennedy to make the difference. Brown is also a game changer. He makes good decisions with the ball and has great awareness. Battle will have the boys prepared, I'm sure of that.
I expect nothing less than a barnburner in Beulaville Friday night. Two great coaches, two teams with a lot of talent. This game will come down to who wants it more. I think both teams can represent the East well, no matter who moves on.
No offense to Wallace players or fans, but I think East Duplin comes away with a W in this one. After a loss early on in the year, any time this team has been faced with adversity, they have overcome. Against Wallace and James Kenan (twice), the defense stood strong and created key turnovers to win the game. Against Clinton, the Panthers never gave up down by 14 at half and still found a way to win and advance. These kids have kept their eyes on the prize all season and I hope they can keep it going.
Hoping for a great, injury free game! Go Panthers! East Duplin by 7
That's the way we like itGo bathe....u smelly old dog
I was talking to chopperYou first.
I have wrh vs whoever from the westI'm liking Burns and East Duplin in the title game. No matter the outcome I will be rooting for the East against anyone of the west 2.
This score will go higher. Both teams will pull out everything. No need to save anything now.Near the end of conference play ED won 13-12. Will this game be different as in more offense?
Dont matter who "whoever" is, if you win this week, you will be one week closer to the 2nd championship beat down.I have wrh vs whoever from the west

Look brother, I hadn't said one time to anyone that we were gonna win it this year. Now once again, we have a good team and a chance. So does east duplin. Us duplin Co folk definitely have a team to cling onto, win or lose. All I know is championship Saturday, a bunch of folks are gonna say "damn, is that a duplin co team back here again?" Remember that. No shame in the co., whether we win or lose. You've got to get there to win it, and wrh has done it 7 times. Ed will certainly begin their tally sooner than later. Duplin will represent! Now you go find a damn home!you better hope ya'll win this week, because the SECOND I see a W beside ED, I'm gonna repeat what you said to me.

plan to get blown out as usualI'm good to go. We eastern posters have to game plan for you like the football coaches do
Again, you have to get there to get blown out. Our program is a successful one, or you wouldn't hate on them so much. We have had a great year regardless of what happens Friday night or perhaps the following Saturday. Try as you may, you can't diminish that fact. We're here to stay, get used to it.plan to get blown out as usual
