To be honest I miss all the talk this time of each year the last 4 years about Edenton Holmes-Tarboro. Although the results were the same each year it was still fun despite knowing it was inevitable that would be the matchup. Just the excitement of looking forward to it is something I miss. We just had the misfortune of catching Tarboro on what was a damn good four year run. I just wish we could have caught them on a bad year just once. It was still remarkable that you had the same two teams battling for the Eastern championship four years in a row. For some of you old timers can you give examples of how many times that has happened before.
I miss it to man the atmosphere those games had was incredible. That game in 2017 had a college football atmosphere to it had people tailgating before the game lol. If tarboro had played even remotely bad just somewhat in any of those four games than edenton would have won. And another thing that gets lost is it was a battle of two of the best head coaches in NC in coach Hoggard and Coach craddock.
Much respect to you aces. To be honest, I think you guys could get us this year. That’s typically how it works out.

I couldn’t agree more. Each year y’all were the better team and played near perfectly and that was just too much to overcome. I think in bits and pieces and here and there we showed you glimpses of why we made it to the Eastern Finals but it just was not enough. Best of luck in the coming weeks.
I don’t know if we would get you this year because we are down also but I do think it would be a close game. Our offense is starting to hit its stride. Whether that is going to be enough who knows.
Coach craddock said preparing for edenton was extremely difficult because one tiny mistake and they are walking into the end zone. Appreciate it best of luck to y'all also maybe we can get a non conference match up next season.

truth be told, there are great coaches all over the state of NC. Being a SMC guy, I do wish that I could watch more of these East matchups though. Different style of football. I’d like to watch some of the rivalry games from out that way.They didn’t allow any opponent to score a TD all season…ALL SEASON! I’ve never heard nor seen that ever from a middle school team.
After this season I was kind of worried about tarboro football but after hearing the things I heard about the middle school team and the little vikes program last night I'm excited now. Plus our JV team has been pretty good this year only bad loss was to northeastern.
Agreed. That NE game don’t quote me but I think they were missing a few players & had some fumbling problems
And they still put up 24 points lol. I know our JV went into quarantine after that so that could have been why they were down players plus injuries.
