He was on his way if not for that.Absolutely smoked....I felt that..
Lots of low snapsWhenever we drop back to pass, the defense is there in the QBs face.
That kid they fumbled without being touched must be sick. That was a damn good game. I definitely don't want to see them again in the playoffs. If EW doesn't commit those turnovers, especially the fumble swapping hands, and the one deep in their territory, they would have won.
Sounds like a great game! That kid they fumbled without being touched must be sick.
I like the spread, but I do see a couple of things that need tweaking. The o line is still hip to hip. Put about a yard between the linemen. Create passing and running lanes, making the linebackers cover more field. And our routes are mostly to deep and not spacing the secondary. On one of our big plays, the ball was going to the sideline go route and the receiver that was running the post caught the ball, I know that play was a scramble, DJ slipped a couple guys and turned it loose, but there was another incomplete ball where two of our guys were too close to each other.Gotta say, that was a great game! Both teams were evenly matched. EW has a pretty decent offense that'll be a problem for a team that doesn't hang their hat on their defense. And EW's own defense is just so fast! I really don't know what clicked for SWE that allowed us to score 21 in the 4th. We started off in a spread, then we came out in the second half in our normal double wing, then when back to 4 receivers in the 4th, where two 50+ yard completions were ultimately responsible for 2 of 3 scores in the quarter. I'm pleased as punch to see SWE not fold when down late in 2 consecutive games. In years past, being down was basically game over. We had the tendency to quit. But the last two games have shown a shift in that attitude. I'm very, very happy with this win and believe it puts us in the driver's seat with West Craven for the conference title, which means absolutely nothing now lol.
