This is getting worse than when we found out Petersen wasn't coming to State, except Petersen actually had accomplished something as a head coach. Plenty of good candidates are still out there in our price range that may be willing to come to Starkville.

Totally agree. I don't think anyone here would rather Scott hire someone just to fill the position ASAP. While quick timing is preferred, I personally don't want to sacrifice hiring the right guy for the job for speed. This isn't Scott's first coaching search. He was VERY involved in the hiring of Mullen and he knows what he's doing. Let the process play out. He knows the type of coach he wants and he isn't going to compromise that until he finds the right guy. Definitely beats the alternative.
