Wasn't Orgeron most likely very involved with the ******** that Frank Wilson pulled on Mullen during Mullen's first few months as head coach? You remember, Wilson being on our staff and running around recruiting for tenn. because he had come to a secret agreement to join the tenn. staff under Kiffin and Orgeron.

He may be a character, but the players apparently love him and there's no doubt he is a good recruiter. I'm sure he's thought about going for that first down against us many times. If he had punted, I think there was probably a 10% chance we would have won that game.

Except y'all turned around and hired one of his protégés a couple years later, one who has based his entire recruiting philosophy on what he learned as an assistant under O.
O is one of the top assistants in football, period. Horrible HC, top assistant. Not a good comparison at all. Croom is bad at life.
Except that Orgeron has continued his reputation of being a great recruiter, and had a successful interim run at USC. He's a guy that still has a lot of national interest.
