It is with great sadness to have to share with all of you long time posters and friends of mine that egfan passed away this past Saturday after a 10-month battle with cancer. Him and I, along with my dad and brother have sat together EVERY Friday night (home and away) in the fall at Warrior games for the past 20 years. We met back in 2005-2006 through this very site as two loyal Warriors (as you all know, being a true East Gaston fan requires LOTS of loyalty) became game night buddies at that point and the rest was history. Friday nights will not be the same. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Man this is just awful news.. if ever there was a fan that stood by their team through thick and thin, it was EGfan..... Prayers go out to his friends and family for peace and comfort... Cancer friggen sucks, lost my sister in August after a short 8 month battle.... God bless this family in the days ahead

Through his post here, he was certainly a loyal EG fan. Prayers to his family.

He and I shared many old newspaper articles and clippings from days gone by when he remembered the old days before consolidation. He was a true fan and very loyal to his Warriors. May God bless his family and friends and give them peace and comfort.
