If we're going to be beaten by om for their 10th win then I'd rather it be in our regular unis. You don't see them coming out with rebel flag or white pillow sheet helmets.

im thinking scott should have more important **** to do than constantly try to make our uniforms worse. it seems like a huge waste of time to me, but im a glass half full type of guy....i dont see the ugly *** bookmark running down the middle, so ill give it a hesitant thumbs up. could look like **** (it would only blend in to what we already have) or it might signal the end of the bookmark stripe. one can dream.
If you truly think Scott thinks up these uni ideas, you need to educate yourself on how the Adidas/MSU relationship works.
There's a pic of an Ole Miss chrome helmet. I've also seen a U of Memphis chrome helmet on twitter.

Why don't you explain it to us unknowledgeable fans. I thought Stricklin had veto rights to the uniforms Adidas sent to us.
I would imagine he does have the right to veto idea (i.e. entirely pink uni seen the other day), but he doesn't sit around and design them. The gold helmet looks fine, it will get us attention, approved. That's how it works.

Yes, everyone knows the age old formula for winning. A+B-C= W, where A is offense, B is defense, and C is how sharp your uniform looks.
i don't get it. Why not paint the whole damn stadium gold, even the grass. That'll get some press.
Oregon is not the only team that for this ****. However Oregon did it with mediocre teams for a long time. I don't understand the belly aching over uniforms. I bet some of you sit in front of the mirror for an hour every morning making sure your suit looks real nice and matches before you go to work
Well yeah, I make sure my suit matches before I go to work. Coat and pants should be the same. Anyway, it just feels like time/resources/attention is being focused on creating flashy uniforms, as if gimmicks will gloss over the mediocre product we put on the field.

It's our old helmet in maroon and all they did was change the color on their Instagram or whatever picture app they are using on the helmet and changed it to gold. Some off you need to spend some time on new technologies cause you're falling behind.**
That could very well be photoshopped but that's not a filter from IG or any app. The face mask would have the tint as well and not be white.
I don't think anyone cares what sixpack thinks about them- they care about how many kids are talking about them at big dawg camp.

You can still see some maroon things in the reflection of the gold helmet - there's no simple effect that would turn a maroon helmet into this.

I don't know if its faked or not, but if it was I would think that the reflection of the pom poms in the helmet would be gold also.
I simply don't understand anyone who would complain about this.
Do you want to improve as a football program? Do you feel like our 6-8 wins a year and simple uni's are going to draw in big time recruits? Do you feel like changing from the regular helmet is ruining our tradition? What tradition??
We are not Alabama. We have to do some outside the box thinking to make kids want to come and play for us. That means keeping our facilities current and updated even if they are on a smaller scale than LsU and Bama....having fun new uniform and helmet concepts that will get the players excited....AND winning. Why does everyone freak out about this? It's not like we are adopting gold as our new home helmet if we wear it ONE time.
And to the guy who said wearing these helmets would "add pressure to the team"....good God man.

This is a silly argument but you are switching your argument. You said it was an Instagram filter and made it seem as everyone else was foolish for not recognizing it. Now you're saying the pic is photoshopped, which it could very well be.

our normal helmets don't reflect that much and the reflection of the pompoms is maroon - had the pic been doctored the reflection would be gold as well. also why would the poster call it the Egg Bowl helmet?
however, if we put a gold chrome helmet out there, i'd expect to see a few pictures on social media about it...

Alright I'm ruhtarded and I take back my comment made to make y'all look like a fool. Forgive my ruhtardedness please. I now think it's a helmet made by someone not affiliated with making the official MSU helmets and just stuck a sticker on a gold chromed helmet they made themselves. Look at the sticker. It's practically peeling off in the bottom right.
