Tiger Woods is no longer a Nike athlete after 27 years, ending a partnership between the swoosh and golf’s biggest star and raising questions about the future of both in the sport.

27 years with Nike- I genuinely thought he was a lifer, like yellow eyed 23.

Like him or hate him, Tiger was instrumental in making golf cool in the 90s and 00s. The number of broadcasted tournaments increased because of him, tournament money increased because of him, and number of golfers increased because of him.
People who didn't play golf knew of him and his story well- that straight up didn't happen with other golf 'stars' before him.


All things must end and looks like after over a quarter century, Tiger is once again chasing that NIL money.

I wonder if he’s staring his own apparel company? Seems like a stretch but I can’t see any company giving him more money than Nike as a sponsorship. If someone was capable of starting their own thing, it would be him.
